  • Let's Talk about Perimenopause and Menopause

We all need to go thru these if we are not dead, but it seems like we are poorly educated on this topic. I am sure we all have done our research or hoping someone has done some research that is better than the ones we did...

    Let's compare notes.

I will go first, I think hot flashes has to do with the liver condition... When the hormone is dumped at the liver and the liver has too much to do and too congested already, it will start detoxing from 11pm - 1 am, if you are wide awake at that time and getting cold sweat, hot sweat, cannot get back to sleep, you have hot flashes and also liver congestion.

Drink milk thistle, drink lemon and acv, eat pineapple, take enzyme, do liver flush, there are a lot of liver protocol (but low fat should not be one).. If you can dissolve the liver stone, increase the bile flow, soften the liver stones, move out the liver stone and eat some fat daily, the hot flashes will be cut down and frequency reduced or go away.

Please do not do low fat or no fat diet, it is not good for the liver. The liver make a certain amount of bile daily, if we eat no fat, the bile does not get used up for its function, the bile will become too thick and stagnant and start being sludge, the liver will be more congested, the hot flashes will even be worse.. If the bile gets so thick and big huge gall bladder stone will form, the next time you have a more stressful situation or have a little fat, the bile will want to flow,. When the bile got blocked and you will have that famous painful gallbladder attack.

Take the gallbladder out will be worse than liver flush, as when the gallbladder is removed, the bile duct will just drip into the intestine and there will be a chance of leaky gut and colitis or IBS.

Thank you AYJ. I just realized that I need to start reading about menopause. I started reading about natural childbirth years before I got pregnant with my first, lol. I need to be just as ready for this big change!

I'm 45 and I was having symptoms of perimenopause but they're gone now, thanks to T-Tapp!

I definitely agree on the low-fat/no-fat diet. I have friends that have done a lot of fat-free dieting and did have lots of problems with their gall bladders and livers.

My husband has to take care of his liver due to his hemolytic anemia and milk thistle always helps him.

I've read some about maca and DIM. I want to look into those more.

Lisa, DIM? Did you try that and how does it work? I heard about that a lot, and if it is from broccoli and stuff, then I think I would rather eat more vegetables than popping a pill, as vegetables, we got more than just DIM, we got MSM and that is a glutathione precursor for detox... Maca is a natural material for the progesterone and basically the mother ingredient for hormone...

I bought a lot of herbs and stuff for hormone but I never really took them (after I started repaired my leaky guts and yeast overgrowth issue, and then started on Master Cleanse and Liver Flush a few years ago). I wonder what is more important to fix.

Since I knew I had leaky guts, stress, yeast overgrowth, then adrenal fatigue then fibromyalgia, it makes more sense for me to do deep rooted fixes and clean and detox my system first.

I supplemented MSM and vitamin C for a while, but it does not seem like I really need any supplement for the last few years.

I read Cure Zone a lot... The liver cleanse forum said Lipo C can prevent liver stones and the lecithin will soften stones... Yup, I guess the egg ban and fat ban is really bad for us! I ate a lot of eggs and I wonder if that is why I was not more sick.

Talking about adrenal fatigue and child birth... The next organ in perimenopause and menopause that we need to take care of is the kidney... Cortisol is very acidic and it dumps on kidney (of course, it is right there). Skin issue is kidney issue, skin is the third kidney.. Pregnancy.... when we were pregnant, we are the babies toilet... So, if we were not hydrated enough and if we don't cleanse the kidney, our kidney will act up when there is more cortisol and more liver toxic from the above hormone roller coaster liver dump....

Our biggest inch increase issue is water retention. I heard about woman gaining 20 lbs a month during perimenopause... Hello, it is not fat, we did not eat 20 lbs of fat, or 70,000 calories extra in one month (if 3,500 calories equals to 1 lb). Our body was acidic and the kidney was upset and refuse to do more work.... Pancreas and liver both dump on the kidney if they have enough, vicious cycles.

Or course, almost all diabetic people have kidney issue. Lemon, ACV, Pineapple, Cream of Tartar... Herbal tea in hibiscus and calendula are great to clean up the kidney. Master Cleanse is one of the best. MC got rid of the fibromyalgia issue.

ACV and honey and coconut water will help prevent dehydration and adding chia seed and apple daily will be great. We are so afraid of a little honey, but we eat bread and cookies... Honey holds on water and keep us hydrated...

Actually, salt holds on water too... Magnesium, potassium and sodium all needs to be sufficient and balanced.

I think cutting down sodium is another bad things coming from the media. Sodium is not bad, preservative is bad, bad food is bad, processed food is bad. Not eating enough potassium and magnesium food is bad.

Ok, I guess I talk enough for a few days. I want to know what you have observed and learned.

            Hi AYJ67,

Dummy me just noticed the 67 and now realize we are the same age. I was 50 this past October (13). Thank you for starting this group since I was getting chatty on the other message LOL. You are AMAZING and so helpful. It seems I need to read these posts and catch up LOL.

I do not have a gallbladder. I wished I had just left it and learned how to deal with it, but I had stones, chronic nausea, and burning in my chest so I went with the removal at the time. I still have some stomach upset that now I believe is perimenopause related. I absolutely need to get back to clean eating. Once my hormones shifted I wanted cookies and cake which I know is horrible for the gut.

I do take a good probiotic and mangnesium supplement to keep things moving, Source Naturals Menopause Multiple because I wanted the herbs that were in it (this seems to help if I take it regular). I also take Neocell Collagen and Vitamin C, but I am not sure if the collagen is helping. I think when I am done with the Menopause Multi I will try Now Menopause formula, as it has the perfect herbs for my symptoms. BUT if T-Tapp works for me I won't have to take any of it. ::big smile::

I do not have night sweats, trouble sleeping or hot flashes. I work 2:30-11 pm get home by midnight and pretty much go right to sleep. The only thing that wakes me up is having to go to the bathroom, which depends on the time of month and what is going on. I have all of the rare symptoms that go with perimenopause, which I am hoping that T-Tapp will alleviate - ovary pain when ovulating (pretty bad), uterine-ovary-bladder cramping, pretty severe breast pain, bloating when I am ovulating, brain fog, memory loss. I have other aches and pains as well that I am guessing is due to the inflammation from the the shift in hormones.

Now I am getting chatty again.

            Talk to everyone soon.

The GI track issue might be related to the gallbladder. I heard the bile duct just hangs and the bile got dripped constantly onto the colon and you either have diarrhea or colitis as the result of constant bile dripping. Some people created guts permeability because of these bile acid when they have yeast and sugar, then food allergies and multiple food allergies. I think the collagen is good, it will help you seal your guts...

I do want to talk about the cyst and what I found out a few months ago. Look at the discussion below so that it is not buried.

I take progesterone (my last regular medicine) due to PMS (ovarian kyst, sore chest, bloatness...) In May I will see my gyn again and just like last year I would like to ask her if I can stop this medicine. I am wondering if Alfafa could be a substitute. I am sure that she has heard about it. Any input about the question?

I will certainly update about the kyst when I know more. I have also thought about going to someone specialized in homeopathy in this area.

If you are used to exercise (it seems like that) I think that you could order Basic Plus with Step away the Inches. It sounds like a good choice. I chose More due to my health issues (heart racing up too fast) and Step away the Inches. I have been very happy to get the last one, I have also used the other one but less. I have bought about 7 DVDs since January so I know that I have workouts for the next five years...!

Here below is a great link to start. At the bottom of it, you find a link called "What to buy next." I recommend you to read it and then ask questions about it.

              https://forum.t-tapp.com/forum/gener...wbie-checklist

You have a DVD in the end of the book and a 30% reduction coupon too.

Before you decide which DVDs to purchase, check out some forums. Here is the link to SF. I had lots of questions (you will see that I still do!!)

              https://forum.t-tapp.com/forum/gener...r-fit-workouts

I know that Ayj will chime in and help you with choosing your workout, either here or if you post in the forum "New to T-tapp". It will be useful for other persons then. Or you could phone the T-tapp office and ask for advice.

This may be overwhelming to you, but right now, I am discussing the benefits of SF in this thread:

              Hi Eliana,

Oooh I totally get the heart racing piece too. Hey, but I feel better already today just with practicing Saturday and Sunday. I am going to go read the Thread Questions about Senior Fit.

The link you posed in regards to the last sentence leads to the 2018 Challenge Techniques and Schedules Thread...is that correct? I didn't see your discussion so I thought I had better ask.

Haha you are reading my mind. With Deep Discount Tuesday I think I am getting Senior Fit and Amazing Activation. Then when I get my coupon I will get Basic Plus and Step Away.

Thank you for your help. I cannot wait to go home tonight (from work) and do some stretches before bed.

Lovely that you are feeling better already! The thread 2018 Challenge Techniques and Schedules Thread is the right one. In the beginning of it, I am asking Ayj a couple of questions about the resetting in SF. She give very good answers to it. Oh my! I do understand that you will get your DVDs today. Looking forward to continuing to share about T-tapp with you even if I am also a newbie

No, I haven't taken DIM. I'm just going to research it in case I want to try it if I start having symptoms.

Maca is an adaptogen so it is balancing.

I don't have leaky gut or adrenal fatigue. I feel good most days. I'm just getting armed with information.

I found I needed supplemental progesterone which helped with emotional mood as well as supply for me. Post partum depression has been linked to low progesterone levels. And I recently found that low progesterone is related to adrenal issues-the body steals the progesterone to make cortisol. You might encourage her to get her adrenals and female hormones checked. Glad she is feeling better now!

              Trisch,

This makes so much sense because the baby is 2 1/2 and my daughter weighs more now than when she became pregnant with Sophiya. Although she breast fed for two years she just kept gaining weight from lack of energy. I have been trying to get her to switch her OB/GYN to someone I know personally, but she is the typical Mama that puts herself last. But, I will definitely push her harder with this new insight.

Ok, I want to talk about cysts... I read things from Cure Zone a lot, if there is a forum more nerdy than T-Tapp, that is one of them. There was one liver flush, I saw some water reflection and I thought it could be parasites... So I looked up and there was a raving review about eating pineapple... Of course I will try it without much encouragement, I have been gravely scared of pineapple since I was doing low carb more than a decade ago I watch sugar and blood sugar.

I did not see parasites, but I see that some scars and spot on my faces started lightening up... so, what is that I was not supplementing and pineapple has? Enzyme.

So, when I was not eating massive amount of pineapple, I take Tereas' Digestive Plus... Anyway, eventually, I saw the serraptase and nattokinase, I bought some to try too for acne scars and stuff... So, I don't notice any difference but one day shortly after taking those two additional enzyme, I felt a pinch at my uterus, then I started a light bleeding like period for a few days... I never feel pain or pinch at my uterus... I think the enzyme burst a cyst. I remember reading the estrogen surge will increase the blood flow and the blow in a growth at uterus at perimenopause... (I read other people's complain and research). So, I guess the enzyme just ate up some of the protein tissue and burst a cyst.

I then read on more about enzyme and cyst and endometriosis, you know what, enzyme is one of the natural remedy for cyst or tumor and dead tissue not being removed fast enough..

If I have ovarian cyst, I will definitely drink a pineapple's juice every morning empty stomach for a few months and increase my enzyme especially those two supper enzyme. Topically, I will use iodine on top of the tummy about the uterus and see if the iodine can go in and dissolve the cyst. Since I am into other herbal protocol, there are protocol that use herbs and stuff as bolus or insert or implant to bring the herbs in. I recent saw a coffee implant (use the coffee enema specific coffee and soak a tampon to get the healing at the uterus area.

So, ladies, if you want to try these, you can research on these and when these things gets too personal to discuss on open forum, feel feel to PM me.

I am at the point that water fast, ok, juice fast, ok, Salt water flush, ok. Yes, enemas of, coffee enema ok, castor oil pack, ok, coffee and herb impact, ok. I practice intermittent fasting to fight off some of these aging effect.

I know thing most of the aging signs are just our organ got to0 sluggies and cannot detox, repair and rebuild fast enough. I am more than happy to practice little things here and there to help it out.

It might be cooky to even think because I have only done T-Tapp a little the past two weeks (practicing - never a full workout) and ::knock on wood:: my cysts are not giving me an excruciating fit this month like last month (I wanted to die for two weeks). So, I am anxious to keep going and see if this fixes (alleviates/lessens) the few female issues I have going on right now.

T-Tapp has been worth every penny. And I've spent a lot of pennies! When I think about what I spent on physical therapy that didn't even help that much, how much pain I used to be in, T-Tapp has replaced physical therapy and many chiropractic visits. I still see my chiro a few times a year but I used to wish he made house calls and would stop by every morning on his way to his office! And when I think of the money and time some of my friends spend on health club memberships without seeing much in the way of results, they are hurting their backs and their knees, too.

I got to meet and workout with Teresa in 2014. I am forever grateful to her and will never forget her.

I agree with you, even though I hate exercising!! I saw my chiro every 3 weeks or so, to put my hip back in. It was an hour and 20 min drive and the chiro was the only reason we ever went to that town. It's way out of our way. Now 6 months ago, when I was there, he said my hip and lower back muscles were so 'soft', instead of being hard and knotted up!

I can relate. My PT helped, even the yoga classes, but something was missing. In fact, their routines can sometimes aggravate my symptoms and they can't explain why and address my concerns. Then, there's T-Tapp that has been helping me in various ways, as Teresa has promised healing from inside out. And, I credit this forum for the support and help I get. Now, I am trying my best to share T-Tapp with friends and family.

              Hey y’all!
I am a woman of a certain age and the changes we go through are kind of frustrating. A couple of things that have helped enormously, organic sulfur dissolved in water in the morning, Remag and lemon or grapefruit essential oil in my water and magnesium lotion, daily.
My hair is no longer thinning, it is thicker and softer, no heart palpitations and not really flashing yet. Had to have a partial hysterectomy 10 years ago, so lack of Aunt Flo ????

Just got into regular Ttapp again and am adding in TBT and HHMM. My lats! Wow ????

                Allie,

Do you mean MSM? Yes, it pretty much single handedly heal my skin eruption issue. I had seriously horrible detox break out that just don't heal and feels like knife stabbed.

Yup, definitely MSM... Wahl's Protocol is where I got the idea... I was too lazy to do the full diet, so I just supplement MSM.

MSM was also instrumental for my older sister's skin healing when she had shingles.

                AYJ,

Wow! Good to know. My mom had shingles approx. 15 years ago and now gets these periodic breakouts on her face (allergic maybe) that are red, hurt (like a patch) and last about a week. I will tell her about the MSM.

Helena, MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) is good for pain and inflammation. I have heard it used for joint pain, but sounds like it is good for other inflammation. My BF takes it for his knees and it helps.
