Welcome to week 2 of the 6 Weeks to a New You!

    So how did you do?
Did you get your workouts in?

    Did you measure?
Did you share your results? Your comments? Your concerns?

If you got it all done, GREAT!!! Give yourself a pat on the back! If not, you can re-start today!

If anyone still needs a copy of the calendar/measurement chart, please email me at dms67@msn.com and I will send it to you.

    Make today really count!

Let us enjoy this new week!

As I was doing my morning moves today, I thought that I will try to start doing a PBS every morning. I don't have any ache in my neck or elsewhere besides the occasional migraines that seem to disappear though. But I *know* how good progressively more T-tapp will do for my whole being.

I totally agree that T Tapp is restorative and just puts the body in a better place. Even if it is *just* one or a few moves.

I am going to try with you guys. I always tell myself "it is JUST 15 or 20 min" but end up being such a slug I will start tomorrow so I will be a few days behind.

Anna Lee... great idea on the PBS. After a while, try holding all of the positions longer and make it last more than a few minutes. You will be amazed.

Ayj... Good job getting right to it! So glad that we talked.

    Aug 6 - BWO+
    Aug 7 - MORE
    Aug 8 - BWO+ Fascia moves

I did Barefoot Basic + this morning because I'm going to loan it to a friend with Achilles pain. It really helped me years ago to learn how to strengthen the muscles in my feet and lower legs.

Anyway, it's been a long time (years)I've done Barefoot Basic even though I use the techniques all the time. I vividly remember barely getting through it the last time I did it. Today it was still challenging but, from a cardio perspective, I was just fine! I felt like doing SITTM after but I had to get ready for an appointment. I'm so happy that my cardio endurance has improved so much over the years.

All my clothes are fitting better than they did at the start of summer, too.

We're finally having summer heat. It's HOT this week but going to cool down this weekend. Tomorrow we're going swimming.

I hope everyone is having a good week and those who went to the Retreat got home safely.

I'm studying dialectical behavior therapy to help my teenagers. Practicing mindfulness is a key component. I feel that T-Tapp helps me connect my mind to my body and to be present in the moment.

I got to meet and workout with Teresa in 2014. I am forever grateful to her and will never forget her.

I'm joining the 60-Day challenge as well. Setting long goals helped me in the past so it will be exciting to see where my recovery will head with 60 days of consistency. This week, I'm doing gentle fascia stretches/zipping in different positions throughout the day. I added 1-minute slow T-Tapp walking every so often instead of clap-aways + kick-outs (uncomfortable right now). I hope to start Beautiful Basics First Steps 1 & 2 soon.
As I always say, T-Tapp is God-Given and God Guided. I am honored to have the opportunity to share what's been gifted to me. There is so much more woven within each of the T-Tapp exercise and special sequences within the workouts than just a means to lose inches and look good......So good luck....just do your personal best and you WILL continue to repair/rebuild from the inside out and your body will continue to look, feel and FUNCTION better too. - Teresa (April 12, 2018)

Yah for all of you who are starting a 60 day challenge! I am cheering on. So far so good, I enjoy my morning moves.

EDIT: I am planning to continue my morning moves until next Thursday and then assess what I feel like doing. I may add the PliƩs from More or do SF Tempo 2 sets of PBS in the afternoon.

We were travelling last week and I didn't get any official workouts in, but a lot of walking. I did OIPHF, LB, CC, and AL the last two nights after work.

Last week, I was able to commit to the daily little bits of T-Tapp walking and various Fascia stretches. By Friday I was feeling really good. Saturday, I spent time with family, went grocery shopping then cooked a meal. My back complained that night, terrible terrible pain. Sunday, I rested and slept (and sulked a bit) for most part of the day. The fascia stretches and bits of walking continues to help.

So today, I made a plan + lists of what I can do and prioritize my recovery. Thank goodness our family was able to clear out, simplify and organize a big part of our house the past months. That will help a lot with our daily house chores. the rest of my monster challenges can wait.

I realize that I should not assume that since the impact seems less than my first accident that the recovery should be easier. That said, I am excited to start Beautiful Basics First Steps 1 & 2 today!
