  • 6 Weeks to a New You! Feb 12 - Feb 18 - Wk 1

Come one, come all! It's time for a new "6 Weeks to a New You" thread to begin!
A lot can be accomplished in 6 weeks. You just have to decide what you want and go for it.

This is a place for you to check in and let us know your goals, and what you are doing to make them happen! If you are new (and even if you're not), let us know a bit about you and your goals. You do not have to converse if you do not want to, just commit to 6 weeks of consistency, and check in to let us know that you are taking time for YOU!

Take your measurements, and just get to it! I am looking forward to seeing all of my old 6 week friends and would love to meet new friends too!

    Here are some suggestions:
    Introduce yourself
Make your own goals and state them if you choose
Take your measurements (email me for measurement chart)
    Do your workouts consistently
Come and check in... give and get moral support!
    Share any AHA moments

And please, anyone who just did the last six weeks, if you have had some wonderful results, or AHA moments, please let us all know!

I start a new thread every Monday morning for the new week.

Also, I have a word document that has this 6 week calendar and a grid for measurements on the bottom. Keep all of your information on one page! If anyone would like a copy, please email me at dms67@msn.com and I will send it to you.

    Make today really count!

    Good Morning Everyone!!!

My name is Jennifer, 55 years and counting. I have been TTAPPING since 2009 when my oldest dd was getting married and I had started the year doing short bursts of exercising throughout the day trying to lose some weight and feel better about myself. I found TTapp during that time and added some moves from the Try Before You Buy into my routine. By June (when dd was married), I started TTapp fully and gained so much as a result. It has been a journey that has been up and down throughout the last "going on" 9 years but TTapp is something that can not be beat!

I think oldest ds left me with the cold he had when he left for the missions trip. I will have to push myself to keep moving, maybe some stepping and some skin brushing as well as lots of Vit C and D3, Oil of Oregano, and echinacea tea.

My friend and I did More 3 on Friday. The whole time I kept thinking "this is SOOO good for me!!" I could feel my arms and shoulders stretching and releasing (they are so tight all the time). At this season in my life I seem to only be working out when I have people coming to my house to do it with me....2 times a week. I need to push myself to get back into doing it on my own.

Wow! Can’t believe my luck! Week 1 is just starting here! I just finished a 4 week challenge with Michelle Barbuto last week Tuesday. And I’ve found I NEED accountability!!!!!!! I am sold on T-Tapping & have been doing it off/on since 2008 or 2009. I have 4 children, ages 11, 8, 4, & 5 months. My goal is by June to have the baby belly Toned & Flat!! I’m determined on this goal, and my plan of action is to workout everyday, and I’ve found in the last 4 weeks, that I’ve got to stay very focused each day to make that happen!! I will post in the evenings as to what all I’ve gotten accomplished.

It kept me accountable and that's my weak spot. So yes and her emails did have a lot of good info plus she typed out the moves just as they should be done. I just need more accountability than 4 weeks so here i am!

    Bonjour!

My name is Helena, it is pronounced something like /heeliiaana/ in Swedish. I am 45 years old, married and I am Swedish/French living in France. I will be celebrating 20 years here this year. I bought the book Fit and Fabulous in Dec 2016 and during 2017, I read it and reread it, and I was convinced that it could help me. But it wasn't until the ostheopath told me:"you need to move" that was in the end of November that I really started to move! I started to do four moves on a regular basis: PBS R/S JT and TTT (like I understood them from the book). Then in the beginning of January, I joined this forum, the first 6 weeks challenge and since two weeks I have been doing the Habit Formers Challenge too.

I won't tell you all the health benefits that I have been experiencing here, but I thought that we could start a thread to add positive points even if we are sharing them here too.

During the first five weeks of January, I was T-tapping a lot and having more energy that never!! Then last week, I started to feel some adrenal fatigue... During these 6 weeks, I would like to keep consistent in my T-tapping, but also be gracious to myself and get enough rest in between. I will be continuing to do the PBS and sometimes some other moves every morning. My wish healthwise for these comng 6 weeks would be to decrease the anti-deps as smoothly as possible.

One question for me is also: What does it mean to me "LESS is More"?...I think that it will help me to find the right balance.

I would just like to add that on the photos that husband took of me in the beginning of January and after 5 1/2 weeks (last week), I can see a difference: my jaw bones and neck have become a little more finer.

T-tapp Trainers, thank you so much in advance if you can help me to I understand more.

So happy to have found this community!

Less is more means that over-training won't get you faster results, necessarily. Doing too much could actually slow you down or, bring you to a point of exhaustion that will really set you back. It also means that T-Tapp is much more comprehensive than other workouts so every other day really is enough. If you prefer an every day schedule, you can do the Basic Workout or break up the longer workouts into shorter segments. Lots of flexibility. Welcome!

Lisa, thank you for your input. I need to understand what Less is More means for me personally. I don't know if you have read about my health challenges, and I am so happy about all the benefits that T-tapping is bringing to me. I chose these DVDs; More 1, More 2, SATI, Debulk sequences and I also have two Senior Fit DVDs. I have done the BWO+ according to the book. During my first 6 weeks challenge, I did a lot of T-tapping and it boosted me. Now, I am going to do a workout every 2nd day and some moves on the other days. I havdn't had many days off, but I believe that PBS will continue to be a daily life habit like brushing my teeth.

    Good afternoon!

My name is Jessica, a 38 year old, wife, mother of three (14, 13, 10), freelance writer and musician. I have been on/off tapping for a few year, by the book for a majority of it though I do have a few audio clips to workout with now which makes me very happy.

I woke up this morning feeling pretty good, my back felt really good, as in I couldn't feel it so virtually pain-free). I did SATI (the max cardio version I don't remember it's official name until the waterbreak. I received a new fitbit for the holiday and wow! I racked up the steps with it!

I'll measure this afternoon...not going to be pretty as I have not done much movement over the last few months other than PBS to keep me mobile. I am so glad that I read about t-tap on a blog one day, the gal was using it maintain her spine and I can tell a big difference in my pain levels when I am consistent.

I do the PBS first thing in the morning. Such a great move! The arthrosis in my neck isn't hurting me as long as I am consistent doing this.

Hello, I do not have official before and after photos but a New Year photo is a good flashback of my big belly, rounded shoulders, mildly contorted body and face - all due to a life event;years ago.

I found T-Tapp while looking for modified yoga or pilates as rehabilitative exercises. The butterfly move was love at first sight. I am still very much a beginner, stumbling through the moves, yet I am reaping benefits comparable to when I used to jog 1-3 miles 2x week and practice Pilates Mat 3x week.

My goal is to move from Track A to Track 1 in Habit Formers using More 1 and Trisch's Activation Tips.

    I wish everyone a successful 6 weeks!

    -GreenGem-
As I always say, T-Tapp is God-Given and God Guided. I am honored to have the opportunity to share what's been gifted to me. There is so much more woven within each of the T-Tapp exercise and special sequences within the workouts than just a means to lose inches and look good......

So good luck....just do your personal best and you WILL continue to repair/rebuild from the inside out and your body will continue to look, feel and FUNCTION better too. - Teresa (April 12, 2018)

Oops. We're starting a new 6 weeks. And I finished a boot camp last week. And I forgot to measure this morning. Shucks. Oh well. I can measure tomorrow.

I'm Lois, 75, married and have 5 grown kids 17 grands. I live in eastern Oklahoma. So if I tell you it was 30 degrees yesterday and 60 today, it really is that way. And the wind makes a big difference.

I decided to try Turn Back Time standing today. It used to be my favorite one. And I finished all 36 minutes of it. Wow. I wish it had an instructional. There was some DVD I used to do that had instructions that were similar, but I can't remember which one it was. If anyone knows, maybe you can tell me. My memory of TBT floor was that I couldn't do it and that I had to move lots of things to make room. So I won't be doing it for a good while.

My plan is to do TBT or More 2 or 3 on MWF. And do just a PBS and HD on the other days. (First we'll see if I live through the TBT from today.) And DH & I will walk on days when the weather is good.

I want to get all the help i can get... so I'm wondering what are must have supplements. I read some on the magnesium oil and if i understood it all right, epsom salt magnesium pulls the toxins and sickies from the body and the magnesium oil adds magnesium back in. I drink natural calm a lot but i wondered if the magnesium oil was a better source to get magnesium in me. Is the magnesium book worth reading? And Id like to hear all the reasons and benefits of taking teresa's alfalfa. i drink and love herb teas that have alfalfa in them. I take Nature's Bounty Vitamin D3 10,000 IU and Barlean's 3-6-9 Omega Fish oils. Is the Vitamin D3 in the Ttapp Store better Vitamin D3 than what i own? I am breastfeeding so is there products i need to avoid in the store? I know Michelle told me Not to use PG spray. Is there anything else i should avoid? I'd be happy to hear your recommendations.

I love ReMag. I think it's amazing. A bottle is around $30 and it has 96 doses. I also love the alfalfa. I really see my skin looking smoother and younger so I know it's helping all my connective tissue, not just my appearance. And it's rich in minerals. Love it!

Yes, it will vary. Start with 6 capsules and you can up it after a week or so. Also realize for skin improvement in can take a little while to actually see the improvements. Look for evening of skin tone and not just cellulite reduction. I personally take 6-9 daily for hormonal and gut improvement. When I had cycles I took 9 and upped it to 12 the week my cycle was due. Really helped me not feel blue and reduced PMS symptoms. And my skin tone evened out nicely, too! (I had bad acne as a teen and had scarring and blotchy skin).

I'm northmom, 40 years old and been married 20 years. We have 5 children ages 5 to nearly 18. We live on our farm in northern Alberta and raise grain. We also raise our own meat and eggs and grow a large garden in summer. I've T-Tapped for over 2 years, but only more faithfully in the last year or so. I have royally changed my (our!!) eating habits and have lost almost 30 lbs and 59 inches.

No T-Tapping today. DH was gone all morning, and I got carried away helping DD, 5 yrs, clean up her dreadful messy room. Sigh....how can a room take hours to clean up and only 15 minutes to mess it all up? I sometimes am desperate enough I pay my children for each bag of garbage they haul out. Usually a grocery bag size, but it depends on how big the mess. Than DS needed some more shirts and I ended up doing most of the children's summer shopping online! I told DH if only my shopping was that easy. I'm too fussy. I HATE returning stuff so I go see it and try it on. With children's things, I try to get them on sale so that if something doesn't fit, it's not a huge loss and I send it to our church's charity. Plus, I got my laundry done and mostly put away, so I feel very accomplished.

I'm gone tomorrow, so not sure if any tapping will happen tomorrow, but I will see.

Super excited to see how we all progress over the next 6 weeks.

I'm valiantly trying to fight off this cold/virus. Yay for Vit D3 and Oil of Oregano.

We didn't do our yoga class yesterday. I did get quite a bit done though in the house, reading, writing, study time, planned out supper, painted a wall in the living room that had had some repair work done on it, knitted on the pair of socks I'm making for a friend. I even spent some time with a young lady who has been coming by quite a bit...spent a lovely time talking together.

Wow, that is a 32 lb weight loss in one day, wasn't it?

Are you all recovered now? In my prior research, enzyme is needed as a natural uterine fibroid and cyst blaster. I think there is one enzyme from silk worm and the other from natto are supposed to be useful... Maybe you want to look it up and take them as preventive supplement. I also heard iodine is needed to stop the growing of uterine cysts...

So nice to read all your posts!
I did the More 1 this morning and this evening, I did the Bollwood Hoe Downs, but due to my heart rate rising too fast "only" 3 min out of 4.25 min. I went to have lunch at a Japanese buffet restaurant and my stomach was so bloated afterwards! I am feeling a little better now.

Thank you, GreenGem. I was doing hoe downs at 5-6 weeks and felt fine. I waited till 8 weeks to do full workout.

Today is my "off" day. So I did PBS from the More2 and 2 HDs.

I measured today. Last time I measured was Jan 1. Funny thing is that both totals were the same. The individual measurements might differ by 1/4 or 1/2 inch. But it all added up the same. Considering that I had gained weight and inches in between I was happy that they're back down to the same.
