I don't know if I should even be on this group anymore! No TTAPP in I don't know how long. I LOVE it, I know that it is JUST what I need. Choosing to do something so great for myself is something I struggle with. I need to move, but the less I move the more I can't seem to get myself to move. But I will. So thankful for TTAPP and knowing how wonderfully effective it is keeping me hoping.

We leave in under 48 hours for SC again to see the grandkids. We are also moving ds #2 back up here. After 7 months he has figured out that "home is best". Our dd and son-in-law have figured out that maybe they didn't have all the answers for this boy. Of course, said ds has said he is moving out when he is 18 in 6 months. I'm thinking he will be facing another reality check. If you want to be independent like that, that would require you actually working and finishing some of these goals you set for yourself. But it will be good to have him here and able to give him what he may need....even if that is Tough Love.

I got PPW 15 done four times last and I am aiming for that again this week. I forgot to measure this morning so maybe I will remember tomorrow morning.

It's supposed to be a nice week yet, this week. All I have left in my garden are a bunch of carrots, so it's about ready to till. I want to spread a few amendments on it yet, so that's my job for tomorrow, working outside all day. I am going to help my aunt paint the outside of her house later this week. It all has to be done with brush so it's a big job. I think she was getting another aunt and cousin to help too. In exchange, my aunt will come help me paint! So, it's a good deal all around. We hope to combine again this week, as last week we couldn't much because it was too wet. We are half done and of course, they are forecasting 2 inches of rain for next week, but we don't usually get as much as they predict. We are very dry and could use it, just not while trying to harvest!

Northmom - You are wonder woman! I'm pooped just reading what you do all day. It's so hard to figure out the weather when it comes to harvesting, scheduling a combine too. Bet you sleep like a rock!

Jennifer - Don't you DARE leave the sixers. Life gets in the way, for sure. Ask me how I know. Thank heavens for sneaky fits. I planned on BWO this morning before the carpet cleaners arrived at 9. Heh, at 8, I hear a doorbell...guess what! There they were. Argh, and me in my nightie. Quick change and on to getting the job done. It's pretty much dry carpet now, so I can get a little BWO in.

Northmom, I agree with Penny! I'm worn out just reading all that! I was starting to feel better with my adrenals and then a few weeks ago hit another dip. Hormonally related, no doubt! Hope you don't get rain when you're trying to harvest!

Jennifer, if YOU leave I would be kicked out quite awhile ago! I feel badly I don't get in here as often as I'd like. I'm on the forums deleting spam and posting for the Beautiful YOU class, then someone needs something whether it's via e-mail or a kid standing here with a question! Then I don't make it back to the 6 Weekers! But I won't leave! I've been on here since April 2007! I might be quiet but I DO read through everything because as moderator I get an e-mail of every post! So I am keeping up on you all! (Always watching....always watching you! )

Glad J will be coming home but I'm sure there will be "adjustments". And I had to chuckle at "Our dd and son-in-law have figured out that maybe they didn't have all the answers for this boy."! And yes, reality checks--those are tough on those kids with big dreams but not wanting to go through the "process" to be ready for those dreams!

Got Fascia Fitness PBS and The Berei Move/Lat Hops. Really helped the upper back tension from being at my computer waaayyyyy too much last week! We had a wonderful time on Lake Michigan at a friend's cottage (in Macatawa, Penny!) but I did hardly any work. Had a LOT to catch up on! Then my computer decided to let me know with a blue screen that my plans to buy a new one next month just got rushed to A#1 priority! That was scary! Need to get one ordered this week and then the fun of transferring everything. I'm relying on my techie daughter to do that!

The water at Lake Michigan was actually warm enough to jump in and the kids loved it! I got in a little bit--didn't bring anything to swim in but I got plenty wet with waved splashing me! It was a beautiful weekend and we were so happy that we could all go. The kids recreated the picture on the front steps--I'll have to upload it and link you to the one from 6 years ago. They were laughing at how their hips were a bit wider and they didn't fit as well! LOL!

Penny, there's nothing like a surprise when you aren't dressed for it! Yikes!

Hopefully I can make it in more often and not be a stranger!

Jennifer, by you logic and reasoning, I should be dropping out from T-Tapp completely too. I rarely did any workout anymore..

However, independent from reading your frustration, I am thinking about the 2 weeks challenge starting today for the whole last week. Remember the old me taking up on every single challenge on the Forum (when there were 2-3 challenges going on at all time)? Seriously, there was never a formal or informal challenge that I wouldn't do (except the very crazy one like adding 1 or 2 HD to after each move, like HD after PBS, HD after Piles, HD after the Box... for the whole workouts). This 2 week challenge, I might even win, but I don't feel like it. Don't want to win, don't want to go to the retreat.

Yes, when someone won and didn't want to go to the retreat, that is depression and stress, take a pick. This lacking in motivation and depression is so not me... I am supposed to be the "hoot and a half", right? So, as I was walking to the building where I work today (oh gosh, 4.5 round trip commute today), I decided I am going to do T-Tapp everyday even not doing the challenge.

I am going to get my groove back and I am going to get out of this mental state (yes, the sad that is that I am still Size 6 and not much to gripe about and cannot use my size to get myself even more moody). So, the good thing is the cleanse and the diet protocol on the fasting window works.

They work even I eat a lot of fruit and carb... I can eat every single bad thing with eating window or intermittent fasting while under a lot of stress. So, adding back T-Tapp should just be the thing to get my mental toxins out of my head and get rid of this mood.

Oh Aurora--how much of that is peri-menopause? Please, Please, be kind to yourself. You know better than anyone that deciding to do T-Tapp every day is a great goal, but don't stress yourself out by forcing it, either. Remember just a couple of moves are better than doing the whole thing and burning out. HUGS

Sweet Jennifer, don't worry. I know how to get out of adrenal fatigue before and I definitely will not get myself in again. It takes forever to repair the damage done to the adrenal. If I do, I will know how to pull out, right a way. The 2014 Challenge, I groom myself out of fatigue with just free style stepping, then graduate to More Step Away and then MME and SF bootcamps within 60 days. It was tough, but it can be done with very careful planning. Thank you, you are so sweet. I will just start with sneaky fit, and stepping first.

I am so sorry that you're going through this! I haven't been around much this summer, but I had thought you were rather quiet! I'll send up some positive prayers for you. I have been through depression and it is a very hard road. Hugs, sister! Try just plain old walking--I am convinced that walking outdoors is the best antidepressant ever!

Thanks, everyone!! You bless the socks off me!! Well--the temps have been high this last few days---August in September, Anyone? So I have not been wearing socks!! Haha And my toes are bearing the wounds of that as well. I can NOT tell you how often I have been stubbing toes and bending back toe nails. I keep them cut short too so I don't know how in the world it happens. And when my own heels are doing the bending of nails then you know that my heels must be like rocks! LOL

I made a "plan" for myself for this next week. So a couple of moves a day...even once I get into SC. I even wrote them down in my planner with fun lettering and Autumn colors!

Hmm...not sure how long it as been (2-3 weeks?) But there has not been any t-tapping around here. So, following Jennifer's lead I'm penciling in a few moves each day in my planner. Like OIP, pbs, twists and hoedowns. Maybe it will help me create a new routine in the mornings.
I had been walking g/hiking three days a week to prep for my trip, but I've only taken one 4 mile walk since.

So I'm not the only one who's been taking a T-Tapp vacation, huh? I did really well last week at doing at least a PBS every day, and SATI three times, and apparently I got too satisfied with that, because suddenly I went three days with nary a T-Tapp move.

BUT today is a new day. I just finished Basic + Tempo, and why I don't do that one more, I can't imagine. It felt really good, and the fact that I can't quote every word (like I can BWO+, ) made me pay attention better. I had to take a break on the pretext of answering my phone, but I was VERY ready for it, which shows how out of shape I have let myself get. I haven't done much besides stepping for quite awhile. It was time.

I have been taking a muscle relaxer for my neck before bed, and I finally realized that it was making me sleep way too long. The past couple of days I didn't wake up until after 8 and felt groggy, so I didn't take it last night. I didn't sleep all that well, but at least I was up early and the day is underway, rather than stumbling out and barely making it, like I have been doing. Sometimes a little pain is better than being groggy and grumpy. Someday I will find the happy medium, hopefully!

I had a rough week last week and didn't t-tapp at all. I did a partial Digital More Chair 3 on Monday and have really been working on ribs ups. I finally "get" ribs up now. I'm hoping to finish our the Chair workout tomorrow. Then I will continue working on sneaky fit throughout the rest of the week.

Sorry to hear that everyone else is struggling too.

Good morning sixers. Sounds like we're all in the same boat. Decided to kick myself in the patoodie and pulled out LadyBug and did the first 20 minutes. Good heavens! My body is talking to me big time. Kept thinking of the new tweaks Ms. T uses now. Whew! Now to keep this going at least three times a week.

Aurora - Miss Ninjababe. So happy to see you pop in. You are so wise to think of your body's needs 'cause I think you're just too wonderful for words. All the advice you've given out in great detail! I cannot thank you enough...well Ms. T first. Be well.

I've been walking outside most evenings with dh. And I've done a few HDs after meals. And maybe one More 3 (1st 16 minutes only). Having some problems with depression too. And I'm self-medicating with chocolate, which doesn't help my body. I'm glad to see us posting more, even if we aren't doing what we want with exercise.

I'm glad too. Miss hearing from everyone, even if they're in a slump. Ah, chocolate....I had a piece of Lilly's chocolate after dinner. Don't do that often, but when I do, oh boy.

LOL, Lois, I am telling you that chocolate therapy does not work!!!! I have eaten a few pounds of it for the last few months. There were days that I ate half to 2 bars of 3 oz a day (Theo, good organic yummy chocolate in orange flavor). Well, the good thing is I do not have liver congestion and had to do a liver flush. So, I slyly call it a litmus test for liver stone status. Now, chocolate does replenish some magnesium... There is a difference between stress and depression, even they might be related to the same event.

Taking time off from work today... I have to complain about funny woman cycle again. I have another period, the last one was 2 weeks ago. It seems like I have this 2 periods in one month and then no period for another 40-50 days. So, no period in June and August, but twice in May, July, and Sept, maybe there is a pattern in this irregularity?

Perimenopause was like that for me. I would have a really wonky cycle and settle into that pattern for about 3-4 months and then have a completely different cycle and settle into THAT pattern for a few months. It was a crazy time. Especially when I lost my ability to put words together...whether through my fingers or my mouth.

                  • #14
I've done 3 PPW 15 this week so far. I may or may not get one more in tomorrow. I'm not counting on it. We are still trying to harvest and the combine header keeps breaking down. It seems to be a 'lemon' and we have another one coming but it will not get here for this harvest season. Very, very frustrating. I told DH I would swath if needed and he would follow with combine. I'm waiting to hear if they got it going.

My outside work is nearly done. If I have time, I want to spread peat moss on garden and till it in. Leaves will need to be chopped up and spread when they all come down. I usually put some on the garden and leave the rest on the lawn.
