  • Emotions are raw after seeing my before pics...

Wow! I am amazed I survived those pictures. I absolutely made myself cry looking through them. I knew I had gained a lot of weight from the way I feel but wow...it was actually painful to see. I know these pictures and measurents will keep me accountable to myself long after the sixty day challenge is over. Did anyone else feel like that? Just sort of blindsided by their before pictures?

I know those before pictures are hard! But you will be glad that you have them when you see the progress you will have made.

I didn't do any pictures when I first T-Tapped. My "before" picture exists because a friend's daughter wanted pictures of everyone who attended her 16th birthday party. I HATED that picture! BUT--it has become my "testimony" now! See those before pictures as a part of your story, your journey that will encourage others--because it will!

I have gained a few sizes back between menopause hormones, hubby's open heart surgery and stress eating. (no kidding!) So, yeah, the pictures and measurements weren't pretty, but this, too, is a part of my journey.

Think about who inspired YOU! How many people have been inspired by Charlotte Siems' story? Can you imagine if she would have decided to just do the Challenge on her own and never submit those photos? Maybe you won't be a T-Tapp trainer someday, but YOU will be the encouragement to someone within your circle to take the plunge, get healthy and get their body back! YES WE CAN!

I know, I had a lot of stress and depression going on for months... But.. I am going to make improvement and the not so great before pictures will become a baseline of my improvement, it will increase my chance of winning!

I am sure you are not alone in feeling the pain from the before pictures, we all have accumulated some extra paddings from Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year and Valentine days (in addition to whatever stress, sickness and crazy life).

Do fret about it, turn your emotion and horror into your determination for consistency.

Thank you all for the kind words of encouragement! I am trying to look at my pics in a positive light because they will show me how much I can accomplish but I admit I was totally heartbroken to realize how far I'd let myself go. But I am working hard and I am turning this around ????

Please do look at the picture in another way, we normally see improvement and the lack of improvement in pictures to determine what you have activated and what you were not able to grasp.

We normally can tell from from measurement too, but pictures are more accurate, we only measure 13 spots, and there are places that you do measure and you cannot see that is actually improvement.

I have won the 60 Days challenge a few times... I seriously did not see why I won... Until during the retreat, Teresa pull the pictures up and point out why the winners won. Mine was reduction of back fat for at at least twice.

Yup, who turns around and stare at your own back? No, you don't, you don't even notice unless you are trained and can see it from the back picture, and it is quite real and that no body can suck in their back to get rid of back fat or bat wings.

So, turn it into a game as spotting your change or trying to figure out why certain spot is not going away and if it is your form that was off.

You know, I do understand that feeling. I have just started doing video classes along with my Beautiful YOU online program. As I was making sure the recording turned out okay before uploading it, I had a side view of myself and yeah! Sometimes it wasn't too pretty! I mean, I could really stress over being a trainer and having less-than-ideal size. But, on the other hand, women relate to me because I deal with the same issues they do. Menopause and stress can do crazy things to you even in the best of circumstances! But thankfully, with T-Tapp, we can weather the changes and stresses in our lives and we have the tools to get our body back, but even more importantly, our health back. We're in this together, sister! Yes we CAN!

Thanks for the post and for the encouragement everyone! I needed it too! =) I've had some serious health issues the past few years and have gained a lot of weight, but we have finally found a treatment that is working and I'm slowing getting stronger and healthy again. That said, seeing the pictures and the numbers in the measurements was SCARY!!!

Don't think about how far you have to go. Think about how far you've come. What if you had ignored all the emails about the Challenge and sat in front of the TV instead of putting in a T-Tapp DVD? This year will be different because you're going to make different choices this year. Just deciding to get started is huge.

Last year at this time, looking in the mirror made me want to cry. I decided to just be consistent and not think about whether I was getting anywhere. A year later and I'm 30+ pounds lighter and 2 sizes smaller.

If you choose consistency, next year you'll have improvements!
