    Default Your least favorite feature........

.........and why you appreciate it. Sometimes we can get so caught up in what we don't like that we lose sight of our blessings. Share what discourages you and why you can be thankful anyway.

For me it is my tummy and arms. I look at my tummy and it is a too big, pouchy and saggy, BUT I am grateful for a body that birthed 10 babies and carried 3 more for a short while. My stomach assists me in walking, moving and enjoying life! What a blessing!

My arms are a too large and bulky for my liking, but they are strong and help me to do all the chores and work a Mom needs to do. They can hug these little ones and my dh all day long!!

A couple months ago my Dad's bf was hurt in a tractor accident. He is paralyzed from the neck down and only has a 2% chance of ever walking again. And yet, do you know what he is grateful for? His life. He is not bitter or discouraged or angry - he is grateful and trusting the Lord. Amazing! That made me stop and think about how much I complain about the little things, and how I take things for granted.

Hopefully others will stop, think and share their blessings.

Very true, Angie! We do get too focused on what's wrong in life that we miss the blessings, even in the tough things.

I remember trainer Webra Price-Douglas saying to be kind to our bellies--they digest our food and yes, for many of us, gave us our precious children! Last night I commented to dh about how mine has gotten a bit fluffy again, but then I said, "Well, I guess it gave you your children!" He responded with, "Yes, gave me my breakfast, my lunch, my dinner, my lawnmow-ers..." All the beautiful things those children do for us! What a guy!

    great question,

While there are many features I dislike on my body...namely, my belly, thighs and arms, I am grateful for the powerful machine that it truly is. It allowed me to carry my two beautiful children and it endured cancer....twice. It's taken me through 14 surgeries (yes..14) for cancer and breast reconstruction and a total hysterectomy thrown in, endured 20 debilitating chemo treatments, 38 radiation treatments with 3rd degree burns, osteopenia, countless bouts with anemia and endured all the pain that these things wrought upon it. I constantly marvel at what I have been able to endure physically. Mentally? Well, I'll wait for a thread on the brain to explain that

No matter what I look like, I remind myself what my body has been through. TTapp is helping me stay in tune with the marvelous machine that is my body...but for the first time I feel that with T Tapp, I am giving some TLC back to the amazing machine...and it's responding quite well and it really seems to LOVE TTapp. I've come to realize that my body has been through literal hell and back, but I am still here....every day that I wake and take a breath is a gift. I now want to give BACK to my overworked and stressed body to thank it for helping me to survive...I certainly wouldn't be here without it's magnificent life force.

    Perspective is a great thing

    love,
    Mary Ellen

Mary Ellen, That is nothing short of AMAZING!!!! It brings tears to my eyes. It is exactly what I have been pondering.........life is so precious! We should all be embracing it instead of finding things to complain about.

    Blessings,
    Angie

Well, much as I have complained about my belly that refuses to get firm and flat, I must admit that I might have a tendency to be pretty proud of myself if it did. So maybe that is something to be thankful for--a figure flaw that keeps me from ANY temptation to pride--LOL!

Right now it is my arms that I consider to be my worse feature. They are weak because of a accident last spring. They can't do the exercises the correct way because of it. It frustrates me and makes me feel held back in T-tapping. But, I can still do the chores around my house, they can still hug my hubby & the kids when I see them. Even if they are not 100% & I have that hanging skin that keeps waving long after I stop they are there and I can tone them up!
