    Default Work outs

How do you determine how many days you work out. I like to take one day off and work out daily. If I don't do that then I don't want to wo at all. But I think I am over training: hormones out of wack, stagnant in weight loss if not slight gain and nothing in inches.

I've been trying this same schedule, Florence... 6 days on, one day off. I can only do it if the workouts are 15-20 minutes. (Actually I think you're only supposed to do short workouts if doing them every day). Even then there are days that I feel like my body is saying it wants an extra rest day, in which case I do maybe PBS and one or two other moves.

My sister and I have been doing about 15-20 (depending on workout) EOD and then 4 moves on our "off" day. Those moves are half of PBS, OIP/HF/E, AL, and DD. This week, when my sister texted me five minutes before she normally arrived to say she wasn't coming, I chose not to do any workout at all that day...and I think I needed it. We normally do some T-Tapp 6 days a week.

Hummmm maybe I should do 3 days on then one day off and do it that way rather than 6 on and 1 off???

I meant 15-20 minutes!!! Maybe you could do a workout one day and then just do the Fab 3 (or 4) the next day and repeat. . So you are doing something T-Tapp every day leaving one day completely free. Then, if you need to, you can take another day off. Sometimes I would only end up doing 2 actual workouts for the week with 3 days of just a few moves. I think it has helped to keep up consistency. Of course, having my sister come fairly regularly has helped so much, too!

I know that the Trainers are the ones to advise us on this, as they have been observing and learning about the balance needed in this regard. I have seen various input on the number of days one could work out and what the body is saying in response. I know a 14 day "bootcamp" is a great way to push a new habit into place, and when done with the shorter workouts is attainable for most. A "get back on track" 4 day bootcamp is just that: RESTART! And then back to the EOD or EOOD routine for maintaining the trim and tone. I had done an extreme number of days in a row, a while back, incorporating some of the longer workouts. I found when coupled with my daily job stress, my body went on strike and crashed!
Now I am careful to stay aware of my overall balance, and if it's time to back off and take care of myself, I do it!!

What is EOD and EOOD? I can't keep up with all the acronyms?

It seems logical that what might be too many days in a row for one person might not be for another. If you have A big family to take care of, a demanding job, lots of stress, then more days off make sense. Most of my days are pretty low key with only two cats and a husband to deal with! But, it still may be that if you're pushing muscle activation to your max you need a day off to heal. I haven't felt so far that I need a day off after every workout, but I am open to the opinions of those more experienced.
