Say on arch and scoop out on PBS, you will learn that you are supposed to lean your weight on above your knees (which you squeeze with lobster hands) before you do your curl up and scoop out, and really stretch your spine both way and use your LATS. This will increase your lats activation and trap tension release. So, from this point on, you add this awareness and correction to all your spinal roll up and dive, including oil well.
Ribs up, it is more advance than shoulder back, if you keep ribs up lats tight (but not using your trap to push down to the lats), you are in fat burning without breaking out the DVD. Teresa has talked about ribs up many many times on the forum and on her interviews, even do it at Total Superslow.
