Thread: Increase in appetite

    Default Increase in appetite

I have a crazy question. When yall started t-tapping, did you have an increase in appetite? I have been doing different t-tapp moves for the past 2.5 weeks quite consistently. Until a couple of weeks ago, I was eating normally (my "normal") and then just a few days ago, I started feeling really hungry even after my decent meals! YIKES! Please tell me that this will pass.....

Please let me not be the only one who has gone through this (*prays silently*)

    That happened to me!

I was pleased to read in Fit and Fabulous in 15 Minutes that Teresa suggests new tappers don't diet and in fact should eat an extra 200kcal of high quality protein to help with the very fast core muscle building that t-tapp gives us. But in fact, I didn't have to 'plan' to do eat more protein - I was ravenously hungry for the 6 weeks and ate everything I could lay my hands on. (I still lost inches!)

I would just make sure you have plenty of good quality food available and enjoy the journey!

Uf, this was exactly what happened to me! When I started my appetite jumped sky high! It continued like that for a couple of months before I found a way to control it. But I agree with upupandaway, try to eat good foods and more protein. You will be amazed with all the good things that will come with T-Tapp

Same here. I was grazing like a cow. Didn't know why but upupandaway's post brings some clarity to me. Lost a lot of inches even while eating a lot. Scale fluctuated up then down a little. After 6 weeks I was able to get my eating under control (lost more than 6 lbs in a week). Not that you should focus on weight, I'm just saying there is no worry in giving your body what you need right now. There is major muscle development happening and it will be a fat burning machine over time (at least that is what I think

There is no reason to stop, so just keep going.

I think listening to your body is best practice, if you're hungry then have something to eat. The only time I don't feed the hunger urge is right before bed, I figure a little fasting while sleeping is good for me

Thanks ladies - I AM normal after all

upupandaway : Thank you for your advice. I have read the book but I tend to forget some important points. I was trying to cut down some of my food because I've been wanting to lose weight. It's a habit that is hard to break. I have seen some success in losing inches but the scale just does not go down. I think it's probably time that I put that scale away! I can't wait for the fat burning to begin

Good fuel! Good fuel! (My mantra for the week )

Yes, I was more hungry. Regardless, I still lost inches.
