The way you describe is perfectly fine with me. Happy Blender Soup day for tomorrow. I heat up chicken stock and then put frozen spinach (but frozen broccoli will already be great) and make it warmer, but not boiling, then I put in the blender or immersion blender. Frozen veggetables are normally blanched first. So, your steaming will work, and a little less heating time.

Sharon, I am not a raw foodie, I know it has less en less enzyme warm it up to be warm enough to eat is perfectly good with me. I am Chinese, I cook everything, I just don't cook them until the greens turn yellow. Even with collard green, I only cook them to dark green, not the yellow mustard green.

If you have left over for blender soup, jarring it in the fridge for the next day or two is what I would do too.

I keep checking on you guys, I don't do it any more but I'm just trying to watch my carbs and its getting better...But the bad part is I'm up and down with the weight. So maybe I will do a version and use only good carbs on my mm day for awhile and then try to do it the right way and see how it goes...Happy for all of you its a great idea' I'm just funny for real....

Just checking in. Have to admit that while specific GM/MM days are a little off kilter I do try to watch what I am eating and be aware of what category it fits in.

I have been doing broccoli soup for breakfasts and am amazed how long it keeps me full! Sometimes I eat a few almonds, pecans or pistachios with the soup. It's so good and a nice break from smoothies.

Also had a dish the other night with sauteed, very thinly sliced yams, squash, onions, spinach and cod. Topped with a bit of parmesan cheese and toasted pecans. It was so good and jolted me back to the GM/MM days.

    Sharon,

Spinach soup can do the same too... Love the blender soup for breakfast especially in cooler days.

When the winter squash showing up, buy bulk when they are cheap. You can just baking 10 lbs (using pretty much the same time and electricity), scoop and blend the flesh, then freeze the puree in quart size freezer bag. You can then have blender soup through out the year with pumkin or butternut squash (my favor). Defrost the puree, add stock or onion or pear or apple or cream or yogurt, blender soup is the best. It take curry, cinnamon, pumpkin spice favors well (not all at the same time, but you have plenty of variety). My husband, not a soup person, but adores the butternut squash soup. I used to add the left over jarred baby food (fruit puree).

    Bon Appetite!

I want to join and eat this way. I'm having horrible cravings, struggling daily. Be back later. I'm going to read about this in my book and I will be starting today.

ayj, thanks for the suggestions. I look forward to trying the ideas you suggested!

I thought of you this morning when I made my broccoli soup. Added fresh chicken broth, a little salt and red pepper! I'm trying to add more red pepper to my foods and I think you are a fan of the red pepper?

    Thanks,
    Sharon
