Jennifer - It's 45 min away. Mom can't drive at night. It'll be ok and things will work out. It's just that my mom is alone and Nikki's DH and her boys do things for my mom around the house. Nikki's kids work hard! :-) We have another nephew who is 20 and a sweatheart, but not much in the help department. Have an awesome day!!!

Oh, Wendy...that will be quite a change for her! I'm sure it's been comforting to know that they were so close. I know that God knows what is needed for all concerned. I'll be praying.
Interesting trip to the dentist. Both dd and I had a good report but there were also some "interesting" aspects of it all. I posted about it on the Off Topic Forum.

Jennifer Thanks! Don't quite know what to say about your DD's wisdom teeth - prayers for wisdom!
Well, my DH had a talk with his companies job coordinator this morning. He needs to make some decisions on career paths. It might be in his best interest to do an out of country assignment. I love this one, I really don't get to chat with him about this until Friday night. He's out of town..again. The funny thing is that his flight was delayed several hours. Because of it he got in some good networking, including some one on one time with the VP of the Calgary operations. Maybe the delay was a God thing! I'm tired of this limbo thingy....and it's nothing like what any of you all are facing! (Rose!) I don't know whether to work on more home remodeling or not. If we finish the master bath, our house will sell in a snap. Between that and the kitchen, people adore the neighborhood we live in but want the old houses fixed up. But I don't want to invest any more money on a house that's just up for sale in 6 months. It takes to much time and energy. Obviously, we are not moving unless the company says go at this point. Then, DH is talking about looking for opportunities in another state. More limbo jabber...sigh!
We are doing good here. Enjoying Houston and the low 90's in July....pinch me! Is this for real?

Oh Wendy! I hear you!! Limbo sucks! I need hay for my animals and this is the time of year to buy it. Do I? Will we even be employed in a few weeks? ARG! I'm buying by the bail at the moment and fear if this falls through I will be stuck without hay!
I so hope we won't have a house to ready for the market. Seriously...ew. In negotiations my dh is going to ask the company to buy the house for our appraised price. We understand they'll do that when they want an employee. Oh boy would that be awesome!
I say hold off on the master bath at the moment. You'll get them with the kitchen! Seriously, its beautiful.
I sold 3 of my goat kids which left one of the triplets. I was shocked to discover the other day how small she is...she's only 21 pounds while her brothers were 36 and 40. For awhile I was monitoring their weights and they were all growing equally. Then they became so wild and hard to catch I figured I'd monitored long enough. So, she was so small he didn't want her. I figured she'd get all her mom's milk that way anyway which would be good. We haven't seen her nurse. Song had milk on her and I don't think the baby even tried to nurse her. I gave her a bottle and this nursed baby sucked it down and looked for more. I think she was either rejected somewhere along the line or just decided to wean herself and not fight for it. But I feel so bad. So now I'm going to milk Song and give Chevre all the milk. Hopefully I can get some growth on her before we sell her. Thankfully she's tamed up a bit and is now easy to work with.
We are suppose to know more on friday about the job. Apparently its suppose to be the first preliminary negotiations...

Between you both, Wendy and Rose, I'm anxiously watching any and all developments! It is so hard to know what to do...how to be prepared for the future when you don't know, week to week, where you may end up!!!
I hope the kid starts gaining, Rose!
2nd dd, 20, is graduating from her CNA course this afternoon. She got a 98 on her final! Now she has to take her State Certification Test. I was so proud to hear the other day how she has been looking into the residents eyes and seeing how much they appreciate the care, the cleaning, that she has been doing. Her new "friend" was saying how cleaning others is not something he would ever want to do and that was her response to him. I guess I'm just glad to see some evidence of her caring and giving heart when some of her choices lately have made me wonder where in the world her head is and what happened to all her training and her love for the things of God. DH and I had a rare few minutes alone in the living room last night.....we are both broken hearted. I'm glad we can encourage each other!
Have a great day all!

Hi Everyone!
Hi Everyone! Sorry to be a stranger since the wedding...the wedding couldn't have gone more beautifully or smoothly. My oldest son got married and he looked so handsome....his bride was beautiful and glowing! Two other sons were groomsmen...they looked absolutely handsome too!
I'm so grateful. My DH officiated, so the ceremony was very God-honoring...the reception was catered and we had a friend who "DJ'd." We all had a lot of fun! Thanks for the prayers everyone!
I will have to catch up on the moves, etc., Rose and Wendy. I haven't figured out yet about Nikki's house, but will try to catch up later.
Trisch...we're in the Southwest too! Don't forget about us when you visit!
Btw Wendy, we are going to our timeshare near Lake Conroe this Sat-Tues. If you know of any free (or cheap for a large family), fun things we could do, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know.
Love,
Lori

I learned a new Japanese word yesterday STREP THROAT. Have 4 children with it, but the one who tested positive had no symptoms, but Dr knows that they all have it. LO has strep along with hand foot and mouth disease, (rash all over her body) so she got the fun privelege of having her first IV. She has had a high fever for 5 days and so the Dr had that planned for her even before the results of th...e Strep and and blood test came back. He said if her blood test came back with bad results she would be hospitalized, but thankfully, it was not bad at all.
I cannot even figure out why they tested for it, for ds is the only one with sore throat, but he had a fever. I am thankful that the Lord led him to test for it. Perhaps it is going around, but it seems the wrong time of year for it.
God really had his hand in it all, for I wasn't even going to take dd who tested positive,I was just going to take LO, and ds only because he had a fever, but I didnt think he really needed to go either, but since my SIL said she could take us, I figured I might as well bring them along while we could get to the hospital.I really miss having a car to use, and depending on others to do things like this. Dh uses our car for work so I am left without. DD 10 1/2 was at school, but Dr wanted to see her as well, so SIL went back and got her and brought her to the hospital so she could get meds too. Drs and nurses treated us very well and we were thankful for their care. Two still had high fevers 39.8 C last night when went to bed, but am hoping the meds worked during the night to help them. I am so thankful for the care and SIL being willing to drive us on her day off. It was amazing how the Lord orchestrated it all. We are sick but feeling so very blessed.
