Tina that is fabulous weight loss! Congratulations. You are doing so well. Sorry about the blood pressure but yes cutting out wheat is a first option and other grains later if you want to try that. I know easier said than done when everywhere you turn around there is wheat!! But you have to do what is right for you and I know this is what is right for me. So as hard as it is I have started and no looking back till I am down to the size I need to be. Yes Life is still crazy - when I have some news I promise to let you know!! It was still 115 degree outside yesterday. I hope the rains come soon. Hi to your guys and hugs to you!

Happy Birthday Tina! Hope your day is extra special! Lots of love and hugs!

Jackie, hope you are having fun.

Just wanted to let you know I have decided to stay on through the end of the year and maybe even through next April/early May. Details in an email later today or tomorrow. Yes it is still hot - surely the monsoons will come by early mid July and then it will cool off a bit - just maybe. The no wheat is working - I just need to exercise and will do that now.

Tina, Happy Belated Birthday to you!! I hope you have a wonderful year filled with loads of joy!! Hugs!!

My DS had a bit of a tough few days so he and I spent a lot of time on the phone, talking about life and getting through the difficult moments. Life as an athlete is very intense, always working super hard physically and mentally. Glad that he calls me to get support. Today he is cheerful again and had a great practice before he leaves for Italy tomorrow. Gosh I miss him.

My parents are also having some health issues that concern me. I have been doing a lot of exercise to work through my worries. It helps me a lot. I've been doing Basic Plus Tempo then going for hour-long walks. Then in the afternoon, I do something else. I have a real hate on for my inner thighs each summer, cannot stand them rubbing together when I walk. Do you think awesome legs is the best exercise to burn fat off the inner thighs?

Hi Jackie and Asha!! It's super hot here today, too, also 115 degrees! I can't believe I still went for a walk! It's humid and sticky but there is something magical about just heading outdoors. Now I'm off to take a cold bath and go to bed.

Hi Shara, I'm sending prayers for your DS and parents and for you too You know, I've never done AL regularly so I can't really comment on that but you walk for an hour which is amazing, have you tried to jog/power walk for 30-45 minutes, or SATI? Not the whole time you understand for jogging, but maybe alternate minutes, one min jog, one min walk etc and repeat? That's how I started running and it's amazing how quickly your stamina builds up. I think of AL as a toner but I could be wrong. I like to do some cardio fat burning like jogging, plus toning. Incidentally, I hate my inner thighs also x

Hi Tina, did you have a good birthday week? Hope all is okay, have the kiddos broken up yet for summer? x

Hi Asha, hope that you are okay chick, I know, lots of changes so I'm not expecing regular updates but just know that I'm thinking and wondering about you Hope you're happy and all okay x

I'm fine, just want to continue toning up and would love to lose a few lbs but it's not the end of the world if I don't, toning is more important to me at the moment.

Have a great weeke everyone, gee this weekend has really flown by! Back soon xxx

Hi ladies! Hope you are having a good week. I am going to add July to this thread since I will be gone the whole first week of July on vacation. So this will be a two month thread.

Shara--That is great that your son calls to talk to you. And that he was in a better mood. I am sure you do miss him. Do you have gymnastic stretch? Suppose to be good for inner thighs. Sorry about your parents health issues. Hard to watch our parents get older and deal with things. Sounds like you are doing great with your workouts. Wow, that is hot to walk in!!! I did have a great bday week. hugs!

Jackie--Hi! Yes school has been out here for a few weeks now. Love having my boys home with me. Hope all is well with you!! What is new with you? hugs!

Asha--Hope all is well with you! hugs!

Well I couldn't edit the thread title. Will try to start one before I leave or when I get back.

Jackie, I actually used to be a runner but began to get injured frequently. Funny that I always thought walking was too easy...haha!! Now I am enjoying the walking as it doesn't stress my body then I do a really hard workout in the afternoon when I seem to have more steam! I may start to incorporate some running into my walking, haven't decided yet if I want to make that step as I am happy being injury-free.

Tina, hope you have a lovely vacation! Enjoy being with your boys! DS is in Italy now and has been emailing with many nice stories, seems that he is doing well. They are now playing in a tournament against the world's toughest teams who will compete at the Olympics. Great experience for him! He turns 18 on Sat, sad that we cannot be with him but will celebrate when he's home for a few days in July.

Thanks everyone for your nice wishes and kind thoughts. As our parents get older, we need to find strengths to help us cope. Life is constantly changing and we must adapt, even when it's difficult. Hugs!
