Like Cbuffy said, I really like Chia Seed Pudding. The "Fairy Eyeballs" effect doesn't make me "squeamish". LOL! I enjoy the texture...but some people like it and others think it's revolting. You just gotta try it and see what you think.

I also, when I make a kefir shake, I'll add an a TBL. or so of chia seeds, and since I have a Bosch blender--it is very powerful--the seeds get ground up that way.

It is worth while exploring it http://salbasmart.com/ and you have much more info if you Google it. I do use hemp hearts regularly as well.
Salba looks even more interesting! I think I might try it instead. Thanks everyone.

I bought ground Chia seeds at CVS, and the brand name is SALBA. The bottle is less than $20, and lasts for quite a while. I mix mine in smoothies, oatmeal, pasta (easy to sneak some in on the kids when they aren't looking). You can't even taste it. I also use ground flax seed.

Here's the link to the ground seeds ~ and they do have them at CVS. : http://www.seacoast.com/salba-ground...s/9-5-oz/p2441

So I ordered Salba on Amazon - already ground. Tried it in a salad. Totally flavor neutral. So now I just have to remember to put it in things! Thanks for the recommendation.

I found some at the health food store and have been adding it to my smoothies and don't mind the fairy eyeballs, which is such a good description. Here's a good article:

Hemp seeds and oil can greatly mess up your hormones. It's very high in phytoestrogens and no thank you. Same for flax. I'm so glad to have found the chia.

Thanks for the link on Salba. I've had it and liked it, but it was a while ago. I'll check out Amazon. Thanks Nurit!

Pamela, if you are concerned that flax oil contains high amount of phytoestrogens, have you given up Peskin's protocol?

Lately I heard researches in this area claiming that we cannot get the omega 3 needed for our body and brain only from plants source and that we must consume krill oil. The krill fish consumes only phytoplankton and lives in the arctic area, so it is free of mercury and other heavy metals toxins.

Yes, no more flax for me! I think it contributed to the tragedy of my miscarriages. These people (all of the doctors and researchers) forget to examine all aspects of a substance and it's relationship to hormones and women and different situations with women. They all do seem to forget that.

I use Cal-Omega, which is calamari oil, and it's working very nicely for me. I use a lot of EVO in eating, and am keeping seeds/oils in check as sesame and sunflower also can affect hormonal balances.

I think that using cold laser meridian therapy, EFT, The Healing Codes and Quantum Touch have really helped immensely. As a matter of fact, I know they have, and am using this multi-faceted approach to maintaining good physical and emotional health. I'm so grateful that I've learned these things and never stop researching.

Default Interesting side note on Chia Seeds

I did all the research and info gathering I was absolutely convinced. I tried them just sprinkled on my greek yogurt. Loved them!!!! Ate about a TBSP 3 or 4 times/day for 2 days. That night my grandma asked me if I was not feeling well, my face was really flushed. Well, it was hot and kinda itchy. By midnight, I was in full blown allergy mode, on fire, swollen, itchy and eyes like slits. Did a little MORE research and found that chia seeds are a relative of the sage plant. Sage, yeah I always knew I was allergic to sage but never thought to connect the 2. My hubby still loves them, fairy eyeballs and all. Just a heads up.
