    Default Hoedowns after a meal?

    Hey ladies! I have a question I didn't see an answer to anywhere:

    Teresa mentions that hoedowns are great after a big meal, which makes absolute sense since they augment insulin levels and insulin is required for fat storage. But does anyone know the ideal time to do a hoedown after a meal, if insulin control is the desired outcome?

    Is it immediately?

    Fifteen minutes afterward?

    An hour?

    Nope, not sure, probably how long it takes for the liver to start storing unused glycogen. Excess stored glycogen becomes fat. Once glycogen becomes fat, they are more difficult to get burn off than glycogen, that is a fact.

    I think the carb after meals is 20 minutes, and for drugs, 40 mins after medication to get rid of side effect. In general, there is never a bad time to do HD.

    There was a thread long time ago for these kind of things... If I find it, I will bump it up, but the 20 mins and 40 mins is what is on top of my head.
