Lately I've needed a short nap in the afternoon, but it used to be it HAD to be an hour or I would panic "How am I going to get through to bedtime?!"

But now I can sleep for 5-15 minutes and feel pretty good!

So it does get better! I used to be an early riser but college ruined me (and exacerbated my adrenals no doubt!). Then dh was on a strange 2nd shift early in our marriage. He was on a regular 2nd shift when we had our first 2 dds. He jokes he switched to day shift but I never did! However, when he did was when I had a tough pregnancy (bedrest for 11 weeks--with a 3 yodd and a 1 yodd and NO help!) and then that was our stillborn little boy. Think my body was stressed?!

    HUGS! Baby steps, remember!
Oh my Trisch, I'm so sorry about your little boy. I know it was likely a while ago, but just breaks my heart when I hear stories like that.
I am so thankful to God for giving me healthy babies, (even with disablities).

I guess I was just curious if there is such a thing as an 'early riser' and the opposite. BUt the more I think of it, I've needed more sleep for many years actually.
So, on days I can I try stay in bed until 9am at least so I can then rise early on other days I need too. (but frankly how many YEARS will I need to sleep until 9am until I'm done healing! LOL)
For example on Monday I have to leave here at 6am to get my son to the hospital for surgery. So that's going to be a long day.

Now, I do not often have to sleep in the day. Very rarely, from what I can remember.
But are you actually saying now, that your somewhat healed, you now wake up earlier ?

I suspect that means early risers have good adrenals ?~ ANd the late risers do not! LOL

Anyhow, hope to listen to the new DVD's I have from Teresa.
The BComplex was backordered so I"m patiently waiting on that one!

Thanks Trisch, and baby steps, baby steps I tell myself.

Love it Trisch ! you give me such hope! Just seen you again on the Ttapp mail out I just got in the mail (thankfully they are coming again!) wow, I just can't wait to start on some ttapp something. Teresa really explains well in the Healthy Hormones etc, how it helps with thyroid, etc.

Now before I get ahead of myself here. I've only done a few MORE chair. (Before I did BWO+ a few days before I crashed)
So, would any of Teresa's new dvd's the PBS, or Healthy Hormones, would anything on those 3 DVD's be helpful for me to do as a workout ? Or should I settle my horses and be satisfied with MORE chair.

Trying to keep a rein on my enthusiasm you see. Don't want to learn my whacking myself out and learning the hard way.

But soooo much want to benefit by reduced inflamation and clearning the lymphs while I heal.

    HUGS TRISCH!

    Rita,

Try the Healthy Hormone Behind the Scene, if you have that wine stained purple one. That is 18 mins, but just a combination of 10 mins worth of workout. Even you can do it all, learning how to stand and activate like that is important. Do it in front of a mirror, you need to check your alignment and position.

If you don't have the purple one, then do the Menopause Management one, just do the PBS (before Piles).

    Hi ayj67 !

Okay this is what I have (oh don't tell me I'm missing one!)

    Healthy Hormones Documentary
PBS Full Dcumentary with Exercises (violet colored)

    Health Hormones
    Menopause Management
    Ttapp workout (violet color)

Healthy Hormones Brain Body Fitness Workout
Teresa Tapps Method of Mindful Movement (pink or rose color)

If there is another I am missing can you give me a link to it at the store ? I thought I got all her new DVD's.

I want to get any where she is talking about adrenal, thyroid, hormonal issues. These are the only three i have from the new ones.

    Thanks ajy67!

These are the 3 you have?

The Behind the Scene, the one DVD by itself, you can try doing it to alternative with More Chair. Chapter 2 is the workout you can skip to after you listen to the talk. 18 mins for 10 mins of workout. This will prepare you with your stamina and form.

Do the other 2 only when you have more stamina, and only try them for 5 mins at a time. The Pink has a long Seminar for 2 hours. The Menopause has Instructional for 40 mins and the workout for 27 mins.

Okay is there such a DVd as Senior Fit ? I heard Teresa mention this on the Healthy Hormones talk.

It sure is tough to get to the workouts when there are no menu options ? Has anyone else noticed this ?
Normally the other DVD's had menu options and to be able to use the ending workout on the PBS one you really have to skip alot.

I did manage to see it today, and it sure seems more agressive than MORE. BUt your sure that it is recommended for adrenals right ? I mean that is why she did it obviously.
It was the PBS one that I am talking about. If I could start on that, on my stronger days that would be nice.

the other Pink disc where she talks about incorporating ttapp through the day. Do you think someone with adrenal issues could overdo that ?

Again the disc is so long I haven't been able to watch the whole thing yet. I keep having to start the beginning. It too has no menu options to get through Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 etc.

Any idea if they might do this later ? (I suppose we would have to re-buy them though ?)
I don't mean to complain, I so love hearing new stuff from Teresa ! Especially as she is addressing my adrenal issues.

Thanks for the info on the dvd's. I've wrote it down so I can keep track of it.

Just 'bumping' this up in case it got missed.

And not sure if it's important enough to answer or not.

Does anyone know Teresa's opinion on 'low muscle tone' ?

Is this just something resolved with ttapp or not ?

My son and myself both have low muscle tone, and would be nice to see how that fits into the picture. ?

    Thanks,
    ~Rita

Rita, I'll go through mine tomorrow and see what's what.

T-Tapp builds muscle density and muscle tone, so I would think it would help. One thing I just looked up said it's sometimes linked to hypothyroidism which I would totally believe.

Senior Fit IS coming out this fall, finally! No exact date but I know Teresa is going to teach certifications for it after the Retreat.

I do know the Menopause Management has the individual moves chaptered for both the Instructional and workout. That one is really good for thyroid--I've not done it yet but it looks like it could be intense, except she has those wonderful "not-free kickouts" in there! And clap-pulls--believe me those really, really help! If not for them, I would not be able to teach MORE and TWO in one day at a clinic!

I'll look at the others as I'm forgetting which is which right now. My contacts and brain are shutting down! LOL!

HUGS, Rita! Stick with MORE Chair or just a few moves from MORE--as you get stronger you could try a few moves from Menopause Management. We'll get there!
