On the floor portion, when you are supposed to be reaching above the head and pulling down with puppet arms, which is most important: to reach *period*? or to reach with arms behind the ears?

My husband does not have much range of motion from an injury. He fractured 3 vertebrae and shoulder blade last fall. He has clearance from his ortho for *whatever*. All x-rays look good. He really is stiff and crooked. His arms just are not going *up* if they are in alignment. kwim? I am not sure how to advise him.

I really didn't *get* how crooked he is now until I stood behind him during the standing part of this warm up

A limb dropped on him. It really knocked his left side wacky.
