Argh! Fat shift
Sooooo, my clothes are feeling different and I can feel it's soon time to go down another size. But suddenly my pants start fitting tightly again. Then the husband comments. Well, you're getting smaller around your lower belly/hips, but it doesn't really show because everything else is moving up (butt, gut...) and so you're still staying kind big in the lower belly area.
So yep, it's all lifting. Unfortunately, it's lifting to my largest area. I'm hoping in a while, once everything has gone as far north as it can, I finally lost more in the lower belly and hips so I can go down a size or two in pants.
Is this common?

Brandy, I answered you other post.
I think it is common to be get tighter all in a sudden on the hip and bun area (after you have been losing well everywhere). It is not more fat, it is more muscles on the glutes. My buns got 1.5 inch lift when the tummy is getting flatter.
Fat shift is normally fluffy and spongy but not dimply (that is cellulite). Cure for fat shift, keep consistent with tapping and make sure you drink enough water, brush the skin often, do the workouts and keep up the lymphatic pumping.

It was normal for me. I never had a muffin until my lower abs lost--and then fat shifted UP! Took awhile for me to burn it off, but I had stress issues going on, too.
Hang in there! Make sure you are using abs to the fullest in your workouts, and stay in the muscle, especially for Half-Frogs. Cross-over sit-ups and Crunches really helped me, but I can't go as high as Teresa--again, stay in the muscle and feel it vs. "how far and fast".
Upping your good fats can help, too, because it helps your hormones.
HUGS!

thanks, ladies. At least I'm not alone in this. It's just frustrating right now. But I keep remembering how BlessedMama tapped for so long without losing anything. I just keep going.
And you're right, I'm getting some awesome glute muscles. Who knew your butt wasn't supposed to hand near the back of your knees!

This is my other post. http://forum.t-tapp.com/showthread.p...rgh!-Fat-shift
Your DH can definitely help you to get faster result by making sure your vertical alignment is not lost at anytime. This will make your butt tuck more effective and burning fat faster.

I'm going through the mother of all fat shifts right now, so this forum and all your experiences are a godsend.
After about a year and a half of off and on t-tapp, I began in earnest 9 weeks ago, on April 2nd. In about 6 weeks I went from a size 26 to a 22. I tried on all my 22s last Tuesday. They fit beautifully. I could sit and bend and practically do cartwheels in 'em. The next day, NOTHING fit. Everything was loose in the rear and thighs and cut off the circulation in my tummy, right around my navel. I figured it was 1 of several things: PMS (because I could feel myself getting grouchy and psychotic), too much sodium, or a fat shift.
I took a good look at myself in the bathroom mirror, sans clothing. DEFINITE FAT SHIFT!!! My inner thigh lard seemed lardier and further up the thigh. My rear end was rounder and had hiked itself up so high it was practically between my shoulder blades. The tire on my lower abs had been drawn in and up, and my back fat was reduced. Hence, the colossal muffin top, that even now, as I type this, is driving me insane. I read in an above post about how a fat shift feels spongy and blubbery, so I made my mother grope my muffin top. She said it definitely felt spongy and fluffy to her.
Hallelujah! (I think) I know that my biggest problem right now is impatience. I saw such miraculous results in such a short amount of time, that I became desperate to get down to a size 20, then set all 20s on fire and buy 18s. I even did a 10-day OIP/HF and AL challenge and that sped off the pork even faster.
Thank God for all of you and for these forums. I know what to expect and what to do to make the shift go away a little faster, and I'll be able to endure this without losing my marbles.

Good attitude, BlueLineBabe! Keep those ribs up and belly button to spine and that muffin will say bye-bye!

Thanks, Blessed Mama! Man, the belly button to spine and ribs up is tough, especially when you're already feeling the effects of TWO Instructional. But I know it's the way to go.
