Default Please share your skin brusing experiences :)

Hi Ladies (and any Gentlemen T-Tappers!)

I'm curious to hear about your skin brushing experiences, I've been t-tapping on and off for a couple of years, and find it to be the best workout I've tried for keeping toned and trim!

However, it hasn't done much for cellulite (I have a little on the hips and thighs, along with some stretch marks), I find yoga does more for that. I do yoga on my non t-tapp days and usually see a reduction in cellulite the same day, I think it's because yoga involves some degree of going upside down (as in headstand, shoulderstand etc.).

Anyway, I think perhaps skin brushing is what I need, so would like to hear how it has helped you, has it reduced cellulite? Tightened skin? What about veiny hands? (I'm only 32 but have always had veiny hands!).

I have tried skin brushing and enjoyed it before but never had the discipline to stick with it as a daily practice.

    Thanks in advance

My bulging veins on my hands do not pop out anymore after 4-5 months of consistent brushing. My hand looked like it was a 60-70 year old's. You do that deligently and supplement Alfalfa daily.

Cellulites had to do with toxins trapped in your fat cells. Brushing, lymphatic pumping are important. Teresa mentioned on her personal profile and skin and cellulite CD that carbonated drinks will also make the cellulite worse in some people (her). So, if you drink carbonated water, soda, etc, try to cut it out and see if that helps.

With alfalfa, MSM, Silica, you can get less stretch marks with consistent brushing too. Grapefruit essential oil is also good for getting the skin tighter (just don't put it on your face).

Did you get the CRT kit, they are all in the CD, you get a bottle of alfalfa and fibertox with a brush too.

Oh definitely! I started skin brushing a few months after starting T-Tapp and brush regularly. It took longer than *I* wanted for my cellulite--LOL!--but it has been amazing! Brushing, Teresa's alfalfa and dead sea salt masks are the way to go!

(salt masks are just grinding the salt a bit finer, add enough aloe vera gel to dissolve and slather on. Leave on 5-20 minutes, rinse off, follow up with a yummy skin lotion or moisturizer! Dessert for the skin! Mm-mm! )

I wanted to add that I have no loose hanging skin, either, in spite of losing 9 sizes and around 200 inches! I have some "wrinkly" skin in my tummy area, but as I continue to brush, take alfalfa and do the masks, I continue to see improvement there, too!

I've brushed on 3 - 4 times a week for 5 months. I used to have many deep dimples all over my lower body and now I have just a few small, shallow dimples. It also feels lovely - I do it before a workout and it helps me feel warmed up. I strongly recommend it!

I have skin brushed since 2002 off and on and in the last year very consistently (5-6) times a week. I have lost 50 lbs since Oct. 2008. I went from a size 20-22 to a size 8. My apron on my stomach and my breast skin has gotten better but has a long way to go. In regards to cellulite, mine has improved a lot on the back of my legs and bottom. When I eat right I can tell a big difference in my cellulite also. In the past week I have started using Magnesium oil and Coconut oil and I can see a difference already. I also do Sea salt soaks and masks like Blessed Mama said. I have taken Alfalfa since 2002 very consistently and try to never run out (Love alfalfa)

Thank you for sharing your experiences, sounds wonderful!

I don't have the CRT system, I've been tapping from the book and just ordered the Total workout DVD.

For the last 3 days I've been dry skin "brushing" with a body loofah and brushing my face with a face one, and today started seeing some nice results already, my arms and face seem a bit more glowy, my skin is normally oily but seems a bit less so today

I'm planning to get a proper brush next time I go shopping (I had one before but seem to have lost it) and may get Teresa's CRT programme at some point.

    Happy Tapping (and Brushing!)

I love skin brushing.. for the way it feels energizing and for the results. I too have veiny hands. The skin is paper thin, but the brushing is helping it thicken.
My tummy has stretch marks. The bikini cut scar area has no more loose skin hanging down... The skin is loose, still, but less wrinkly and not draping over the scar a bit. Sorry if TMI.

Trisch I cannot find Aloe Vera 'gel' at WalMart, only the A.V. juice. I went ahead and got, and have mixed it with ground sea salt, and it makes a gelatinous glop, of sorts... still adjusting proportions. It seems like it's working although I haven't done this a lot of times, yet.

Don't worry, not TMI at all, I have a bit of that on the tummy too despite not having any kiddos. I got mine thanks to appendix surgery last year LOL Hoe downs have really helped pull my tummy up and improve the skin around the scars (I had keyhole surgery so have 2 scars on the bikini line and 1 under the belly button). I expect brushing will do the rest!
