I'm sorry to hear about your brother. It is really hard when people aren't open to advice especially when you KNOW you could help them. I will pray that over time they become more open-minded. Sometimes it takes multiple exposures to an idea before it starts to sound sane. (especially with alternative health ideas like eating) LOL

I have felt frustration too because my brother doesnt want to listen. He is eating more food than before and his temps are better but I havent been able to get through to him the importance of reducing inflammation/boosting alkalinity. And also how is emotions literally destroy or create his health. (From the book the power) I am glad to hear you are still on the healing journey!

With summer activities and a vacation I feel I've lost touch with proper eating. I was looking forward to a rewrite of the Diet Recovery book promised for this month but it appears Matt's on vacation and the recent posts by his friend do nothing to inspire or inform me. I wonder if he's working at all on the book or his own self-experimentation. Does anyone have any good news to get me motivated?

Hey Mav; sorry you didn't get any responses...Please let us know what you think of the new book. I'm not RRARFing right now, but I'm definitely Eating The Food! (I have new respect and love for the lowly potato; it eschewed from my life for waaay too long!)

Mav, thanks for alerting us to the new book. I just downloaded it and I can't stop reading it! Lots of food for thought....literally! I think it's his best one yet. The only problem is now I've got to re-think so many things, LOL!

I skimmed thru it and love it, too! It's full of practical information instead of all the science, but the references substantiate the science of it. Now you don't have to overfeed, just eat the right things for your body to keep your metabolism up. It's not a how-to, though, meaning if you do this you'll get that. It's try this and then evaluate your body's response. Now for a more thorough reading.

If you're interested the sale is through 12/31 and is 50% off everything in the store. And his books are on Amazon, now, but only in ebook format.

the new book is now 99 cents so there's no excuse not to get it. it's always good to read a non-mainstream point of view.

I love the new book. It's really full of guidelines on how to figure out what your body needs. I need to read it again. I want to get it printed out. I do much better when I can underline and write in the margins etc. I am still figuring out how much water my body needs. But I think I am getting to where I should be.

I am 59 and stronger than I have ever been and more than ready for this next stage of life. I plan on keeping my muscle strength, bone strength and flexibility through t-tapp way into my 90's. Think of all the fun I am going to have the next 30 years!!

Figures...I bought too soon; .99 is a great deal! I really like this book; it's a quick and easy read. I like how he's simplified much of his earlier work; he seems to be directing people away from RRARF and toward a more moderate approach--Eat enough to satisfy hunger and cravings; only drink to satisfy thirst. After years of following the "drink copious amounts of water a day" paradigm, and then feeling guilt-ridden when that didn't happen--I found Eat for Heat refreshing. When I follow the premise of only drinking to thirst while "eating the food," I find my hands, feet and nose stay toasty warm, and I have more energy. My system has a long way to heal yet, but I think this paradigm can be very sustainable.

P.S.: Mav, how do you find out what books are down to .99 or free?

Hi Susan! I got an e-mail regarding the .99 offer. I had already purchased it for $10, also. However, I think that the .99 offer was for kindle only and I don't have a kindle, so I wouldn't have been able to take advantage of it anyway. It is well-worth the $10, however. I really like his out-of-the-box approach!
