That sounds AWESOME!!!!! All my favorite foods! (except the cheese - I've never tried raw milk cheddar - ok, I did back in the day when my uncle had cows and my aunt made her own cheese... but that was, what, 40+ years ago??? LOL)

Yah, I think I'd eat an egg, just to be sure.

Cbuffy, I don't notice any difference in this cheese and any other regular milk cheese.

I'm saladed out! Actually, I love salad but adhering to low-carb, salad became the main focus...Think of it; even green smoothie is basically salad for breakfast. I already have tomorrow's breakfast planned out: smoothie made with half coconut milk, half plain yogurt, a chilled baked sweet potato, a big ole glob of coconut oil, 2 egg yolks and ground cinnamon. Never tried it before, but it sounds yummy; I'll let you know how it goes!

Callicrowe that sounds awesome and very delicious and yeah it works for rrarf. it's ok if you dont get as much protein in in the evening meal as long as you are getting it earlier in the day.

Blessedmama thats really interesting how things shift intuitively. Cant wait to have you on the thread in full force when certs are through

Sweet potato smoothie was And very, very filling.

    1/2 c plain, grassed yoghurt
    1/2 c coconut milk
About 1/2 to 2/3 of a large, baked, chilled sweet potato, without jacket
    2-3 egg yolks
    Pinch sea salt
    Heaping teaspoon cinnamon

I whirred it up with my immersion blender. Soooo yummy.

Oh, and I forgot to say, my temp average today was a whopping 98.7. That never happens!

Susan, did you start seeing improvement in temps right away? How many days? Yours were already mostly in the 98's though, weren't they?

    Hi Peggy,

Yes, I'm seeing increases in temp right away. I have been on T3-only thyroid treatment for over 18 months, and had been on desiccated thyroid for about as long before that. I have been tracking my temperatures (the average of 3 daily temps) for around 3years. I have thyroid hormone resistance and am also being treated for adrenal insufficiency. Even on thyroid replacement, my temps have never averaged at or above 98.6; more often they average at or below 98.1. My morning basal temps, on t3 are around 97, up from a low of 95 before thyroid treatment. I'm hopeful that with my temps trending upward on RRARF, I will be able to reduce my t3 dosage.

Though I'm impressed with the temp increases, and so much of the science behind 180 makes sound sense (including the suggestion to limit exercise--especially important for the adrenal challenged)--I admit to having a large amount of trepidation following this plan! It's so antithetical to how I've been indoctrinated over the past 10 years, ie Limit Those Carbs, Don't Over Eat, Potatoes=poison....

That said, this WOE is very easy for me; I had already eliminated caffeine and greatly reduced sugar....
I was never fond of no cal sweeteners (even stevia) anyway. The two things that were an issue for me are nighttime, postprandial cravings for 90% chocolate and red wine, and eating this way has eliminated those cravings.

One of the components of 180 is to have a daily 12 hour fast. I was a little concerned about that aspect, since I would frequently be hungry around 9 or 10pm, and wake up at 6 or 7 ravenous, but the last two nights I've been so full after supper, I haven't been hungry even as long as 14 hours later.

I'm looking forward to purchasing one of his books, but in the meantime I'm reading everything he has available on the website. I won't say I'm a True Believer, but so far I've seen such improvements I'm willing to stick with it longer before I pass my final judgement!
