Thread: creating the correct workout for me

  1. #1

Default creating the correct workout for me

I have 3 questions that I am hoping some of you t-tapp experts can advice me on. I am a less to lose, but I am not tight and toned like I would care to be and so I am trying to do something about that. I have injured my back a few times with exercise and this is how I was introduced to t-tapp. Primary back stretch has done wonders for me.

question #1 - I am doing OIP,HF,AL,DD, instructional #1 and several reps with free weights. Some days I also take a 2-3 mile brisk walk with a number of elevation changes. Is this something I can or should do 5-6 days a week?

question #2 - does t-tapp recommend a certain amount of water to be consumed each day?

question #3 - I have read many amazing and inspiring stories of transformation here. How many of these tappers only used the workout for the majority of their success or was there a combination of workouts, sessions with t-tapp personal trainers, classes, seminars and the supplements, oil and creams recommended on this site? Is it reasonable to expect that with consistency I can achieve good results without purchasing anything beyond the workouts?

I am excited about making t-tapp part of my life. Thank you for your help.

    WELCOME!!

I don't know if TTapp recommended this, but you should be drinking 1/2 of your body weight. For example, if you were to weigh 200 lbs. you would drink 100 ounces of water. And then after you are comfortable with that amount, start drinking more.

If you want to work out every day, you must keep your WOs 30 mins or less. And even then, you should take 1 full day off per week.

A trainer will hopefully come by soon and answer more in depthly!

    Welcome!

on #1--are you doing T-tapp with weights? or this is something else you do in addition?

#3 I can answer--you have all you really ever need. One thing I would definitely add in is skin brushing with a natural bristle brush. It is good the skin to exfoliate, move lymph, reduce cellulite and even tighten the skin as you lose. This is not hype, it works!

Getting with a trainer or to a clinic IS helpful from the standpoint of new tweaks or something clicking in person that might not come across in print. But if you keep studying the book, stay on the forums for encouragement and further clarification, and video yourself doing the workout from time to time and watch it, you can do a lot on your own.

That said, when you can, DO take advantage of either a video review by a trainer and/or going to a clinic or class with one. It really is great to take things to a new level--they can help you feel what it's supposed to feel like and the immediate feedback is wonderful!

I lost 9 sizes, nearly 200 inches and 30 lbs. with just T-Tapp and slowly making better choices in my eating. The last 20 lbs. came off with a little more focus on the eating, but not that I'm dieting--far from it! I eat plenty, but have balanced my eating more. Quite frankly, the weight doesn't impress me as much as the muscle definition, and THAT is solely from T-Tapp! I gave up light weights, the exercise ball, the rebounder, the everything else. You can do those things if you enjoy them, I don't. T-Tapp gives me what I need in 15-20 minutes 4-6 times a week when I started, now I do 2-3 classes a week, work on 1 move a day, take 1 day completely off, and as one that just needs to tone up now, I'm reshaping and still losing inches on that! Less is more with T-Tapp!

I'm not sure I can answer your other questions, although on #1 I'd say to be careful to not add too many things in all at once. Keep focusing on form and muscle activation to your max, plus consistency, and that will get you where you want to be! Better health, better stamina, better body--the T-Tapp way!

    HUGS!

#! Doesn't sound too bad too me. Especially if you are splitting the workouts into 2-3 days on then a day off. 4 days on before a day off, I might say would eventually lead to a burnout. Not sure why you feel the need to do free weights, but if it's just a few reps and you are starting to dread the workouts, you are probably fine. Watch for signs of *I don't wanna workout* overtraining symptoms...
#2 Half your pounds in ounces is an awesome guideline, but nothing Teresa has ever pushed. Just plenty of good clean water.
#3 I bet most have used the workouts alone and many not using the instructionals as often as they should, LOL! Trainers and seminars are a sweet bonus that many can't get to or feel like they can afford and they still have exceptional results. Nothing beyond the first instructional is *required* unless you are feeling the need for variety or to kick it up a notch! Slow and steady wins the race!
    Glad to have you here!

Do not be confused, I am NOT a trainer just someone who has been around for over 11 years and talks too much!

Hopefully one of the many Certified T-Tapp Trainers will be along shortly, with the most accurate information.

Thank you for the help! I am not doing ttapp with freeweights, but I was just doing a few reps when I was done tapping - just for the pecs. I want to keep perky boobs

So, that means I can do the OIP, HF, Al, DD, instructional #1 and free weights 3 days, then one day off. right? I don't think I am going to count the walking as a workout. I cannot imagine it would be a prob if I went for a walk on the day off. But if I am wrong, someone please correct me.

I do have the brush and flyer outlining how to skin brush, so I have no excuse not to add it in.

You all are so helpful. Thank you so much :-))
