Smile Shocked that It is Workiing !!!

I am pretty new to t-tapp. Mostly I have been doing the Instructional workouts consistently this week. While before I was doing the workouts on youtube and pausing them so I could get in enough reps.

Today I figured I better look or watch some of the other DVDs I ordered and received when I got my original order. They are only covered for imperfections for 30 days from what I understand so I need to try to make sure they are all working. After all they are a wise investment in my health.

I put on Hit the Floor workout after doing the 55 min. Total workout. Yes I am guilty of deviating from the scheduled program plan. I confess, I strayed and did a different workout.

In the morning I have been anxiously measuring my ab area in two places watching to see if there is any improvement. It likes to keep expanding even with consistent workouts over the last year with the other workouts I have been doing. The only time I missed working out was when I was too weak to walk - - - due to MS.

After completing the 55 min. basic workout, I did the first hit the floor workout and decided to watch the second one.

Well, I couldn't just watch - I ended up doing it also. After I was done I measured again. My upper abs 2 inches above my belly button had gone down an inch and the lower abs, two inches below was down an inch. GASP !!!

In the second hit the floor workout on the dvd, Teresa gives really good instructions on the organs in place and shows how to do it with the camera focused in on her flat tummy. It really helped to see how she did it so I could do it properly. Just doing that improved my workout so much I shrunk down a total of 2 inches in my abs. Now this is after eating all day and drinking lots of water. Normally my abs get bigger in the evening, not shrink.

I don't know if it will stay smaller over night, but I can hope.

An update. This morning I did a full body measurement as my abs got even smaller overnight. In one week of t-tapping, I lost 7.5 inches !!! A total of 4" was lost in my waist. My weight is the same but the inches are releasing !!! That is without diet changes and in fact I have been eating rather badly, adding in cookies and a few chocolates. . . Sigh. Normally I don't eat them.

That's so exciting!! You must be thrilled!! I'm not dieting either, since I want to see if it truly works on it's own. I will improve my eating, but it will be a slow change. Do you mind if I ask how many sizes you're hoping to lose? I'm hopoing to have my own good news before too long (I've been Tapping for 4 days now).

I currently weight 172 and would like to be down around 120. I am a size 16 about depending on the brand. I would love to have a tight, cut figure that is cute. That sounds stupid. Maybe a size 6 or 8, but it all depends on what nature allows.

You can't believe how excited I am. It was doing the organs in place that triggered a change on the hit the floor dvd workout 2. It shows the detail really well. It was the detail that made the difference and doing it on your back in the slant position. Doing it standing didn't have an effect yet. It feels like it activated my ab muscles as they filled pulled in more and tighter. I also can do tummy tightening pulses now in the chair and walking around the house since its been activated. Before I couldn't feel my ab muscles. When I would workout doing old fashioned workouts, my abs would get sore but not tight. With the hit the floor workout there is a really big change. Last night was my second time doing it. Oh, I was able to keep my abs tight doing the cat stretch !!! Before they would hang down looking like I had just given birth, sagging, swaying, looking nasty. Now I can keep them tighter.

This morning I played the dvd that came with the book and it has the exercise done in great detail, maybe a bit better. But I think the whole workout on hit the floor will be added to my workout as long as I have the strength. My abs have been my worst point. When I did it right on the hit the floor workout, everything shifted. I could feel my organs move upward and when I did the crunches they felt more effective. Its really a great ab workout. It should also work the legs too along with other parts, but mostly the abs. I highly recommend doing that workout.

My chest went down one inch and my arms went down a bit and my ankles of all places. LOL. The other workouts I have done over the last year have tightened me up (before t-tapp) in the legs a bit and arms. But the changes I see with t-tapp is really neat !!! I was playing with my cat dragging a sting around on a stick so she could play and my arm muscles popped up in my biceps !!! There still is fat over them but they are activated now. I was staring at my arms looking at the nice bulge. I could see it close up but in the mirror in the distance it wasn't as obvious. My abs have maintained the inch loss since I first measured !!! I figured it would spread back out over night, but it didn't.

How much do you have to loose?

    Joyfilled!, that's great!

I started at 175 lbs. and a 22W, and although I lost 8 sizes over 4 years, up until May I had only lost 30 lbs.! It's only been in the last 2 1/2 months, after addressing my eating, that I've lost an additional 17 lbs. I got to where I really didn't care what the scales said anymore, and although yes, I'm tickled they say 128 now (for the first time in 15 years!), it doesn't put me in the clouds! THAT comes from seeing my "cortisol belly" go down, and my body reshaping! I don't even care what size I am now!

For standing OIP, I really like Teresa's new tweak called the Mitten Chop Box. If you go to YouTube, type in My Fox Atlanta+T-Tapp and it's usually the first video to come up. I'd just post the link but it always embeds the video! Anyway, that tweak is FABULOUS! It's really a great way to get that same muscle activation standing!

Also, a few years ago at Safety Harbor, Teresa tweaked the floor OIP--she had us not raise our buns so high for the first part because some of us were inadvertently tightening the abs and you can't dig in as well. Just barely lift the buns off the floor to keep the ab area soft. Then for the "tucks", she also didn't raise the buns as high. I found that even more effective!

HTH! Keep up the great work!

Thank you for the tips. I tried the mitten chop, I just wish there was a longer portion of it to get down the form better.

Slow it down! Use the pause and do it step by step. And when you are "squishing the middle" with the heels of your hands, you are also pushing into the abs. As if you are pushing the fluff up and out to help you get to the muscles for activation. As you come up after pushing in with your fingers, really pull that belly button to spine and curl the core and hold it tight. You keep it that tight until she tilts forward again. And when you're tilted forward, you're not curled nor arched--just kind of neutral.

    HTH!

You may be surprised at how much you can weigh and still get into the size you're aiming for! I got into a size 12 when I still weighed over 200 pounds with T-Tapp. Sounds like you're off to a great start!
