Alfalfa and Breastfeeding
Hi,
I am a new mom to a 7 week old son. I'd like to know if alfalfa is safe to use while breastfeeding. If so, I would love to learn what success moms have had with their alfalfa use. To the best of my knowledge, I have an A+ blood type. Like most new moms, I am concerned over maintaining a healthy, steady, milk supply so that my son can continue to grow and mature healthfully. I would also love to hear from postpartum moms about your success with body brushing to help with reducing inches. How long did it take (on average) for you to see results with consistent use of the alfalfa and/or body brushing?
I am a 35 years old mom who works full-time outside of the home. I am 5 ft 8 3/4 inches. I weight approximately 210 lbs. My waist is about 37 inches. My hips and stomach are about 47 inches each. My thighs are about 27 inches each. These are my primary areas of concern.
I pump milk 3 times a day while at work and am able to nurse my son for an hour every day while at work. The week of May 1ST is my 2ND back at work so I am definitely in an adjustment period in my life and am hoping to use the t-tapp program not only to help me become healthier physically, but also to help me balance out emotionally/mentally as it is very stressful at work right now.
I have enjoyed t-tapping prior to this pregnancy and am slowly getting back into the program. I currently own FIt and Fabulous in 15 minutes, Basic Workout +(instructional and workout) and Step Away the Inches. I have other workouts, but am focused on truly starting from the beginning.
Words of encouragement and stories of success with t-tapp and postpartum recovery are appreciated!
Thanks,

Alfalfa is excelllent for breastfeeding moms, it definitely helps with milk production. Here are some success stories from our moms.

If you have floor work (HTF) I would suggest you add that in or OIP/HF twice a day to help regain muscle strength in the abs.

Hi, Melanie!
Alfalfa is wonderful! I started using it while still exclusively breastfeeding my ds who was about 5-6 months at the time. Definitely helped with the milk production!
I also credit alfalfa and body brushing for not having any hanging skin after losing 8 sizes! I have some wrinkly areas, but I'm sure with consistent brushing, alfalfa and dead sea salt baths and masks, that will eventually tighten up. I notice a trend--I lose some in the tummy area, it gets really wrinkly, then it starts to smooth out. Then the process repeats.
T-Tapp has certainly helped me emotionally as well as physically. I feel more balanced hormonally at nearly 49 than I did 20 years ago! I am on bio-identical progesterone and testosterone, but I was on the progesterone prior to T-Tapp and although it greatly helped, T-Tapp and Teresa's alfalfa have made an even bigger difference!
Hang around the forums--they are a wealth of knowledge and encouragement! The forums are a big part of my success!
HUGS!
