    Question Skin brushing?

I want to learn more about skin brushing? I do not have a brush and have not learned much about it. I have been t-tapping about 6 weeks now. I feel results, have not measured results yet, will at end of my 30 days with Charlotte's virtual Renew training.

I have several of the DVD workouts and want to add skin brushing but not sure how to start, what all I need, etc. Anyone have any words for me

Teresa has a skin brushing set, which includes a brush and a DVD with instructions (and a few extra bonus exercises). While you're saving up for that, you can start with a natural bristle brush (I've gotten one for about $3 at the "bath and body" section of my supermarket). You want to brush lightly; some people describe it as "butterfly wings." It's almost a tickle -- but the idea is that this stimulates lymph (and lightly exfoliates). Start at the end of an arm or leg and brush towards the heart, brushing all over. While Teresa has a few of her own "twists" and techniques, dry skin brushing has been around for a long time and you can find instructions to get you started on the internet. Here's one that's pretty good:

    Hi Kim,

Welcome to T-Tapp. There is a thread stickied to the top of this forum MUST READ THREADS, there is a ton of info in there including these links:

    Brushing links: http://forum.t-tapp.com/showthread.php?t=50877

    Brushing Face: http://forum.t-tapp.com/showthread.php?t=62917

Also if you use the search function at the top right corner you can find a ton more. Me, personally, I used skin brushing to help tighten and tone the skin on my abs after having the children... but skin brushing is WAY more than tightening the skin as you will see.

    Welcome to T-Tapp.

Oh thank you Michelle! I typed in "skin brushing" in the top right search box but did not find anything, I knew there had to be a lot but I guess I did something wrong. I will check these out, I need to tighten skin in my belly as well from 3 kiddos, and also looking forward to the other benefits of it as well.

I have been brushing for only 3 weeks and love it. I've already seen some fading of silvery white stretch marks and can't believe how soft my skin is becoming. I've also found it very relaxing. You won't be sorry!

Also, don't you love Charlotte's Virtual Coaching? I'm finishing week 2, and it has been invaluable in helping me develop the habit of consistency!

    Blessings!

Just putting in a plug for brushing--it not only makes your skin soft and helps tighten skin, it detoxes! I had a cold move up out of my chest to just a regular head cold by brushing! And just today I heard another testimony of brushing helping with a sore throat and headache!!!

It really does tighten the skin, too--I figure I've lost 10-12 inches off my abs and although my belly is not "bikini perfect" and I still have some to lose, I am amazed at how my skin has tightened up!

I will second that! My belly is SO not bikini-ready either, BUT - it is much, MUCH better just from the brushing. I am not as consistent as I should be; however, my belly pooch has shrunk so much, my skin is so much smoother and softer, and my stretch marks have faded considerably! I can definitely tell I have lost inches, although I am not brave enough to measure. LOL

I got my brush at a local bath and body store and started by looking dry brushing up online. When I started, all the T-Tapp brushes were back ordered, so you couldn't even order the video.

Skin brushing is AMAZING! I see big results with general puffiness reduction when I'm consistent which makes those hard earned muscles actually visible!
