Magnesium Oil - illegal??
I went to Whole Foods today to get some things and decided to ask if they carried Magnesium Oil. The sales lady gave me a strange look and said, "NO, we aren't allowed to carry that" then she walked away. Anyone know why she reacted in such a way?

I spoke with the man at Drug Emporium (Vitamin World inside Drug Emporium) and he didn't say anything like that, in fact he was quite intrigued and was going to check it out. My order from Health and Wisdom is supposed to arrive early this evening! Yay!

hmmm. maybe she did think I said something else. Totally weird. I went ahead and placed my Health and Wisdom order too. Whoo hoo. Reading some of the testimonials it says it's good for hormonal issues, migraines, etc.

My order arrived last night. We did our first foot soak, and I gave DH a foot rub as well. I do this several times a week b/c DH has neuropathy in his feet. Why, we don't know. We've been to dr. after dr. Anyway, he did mention that the foot rub was not painful as it usually is. He is also an insomniac and I am hopeful the stuff will help with that. I don't expect results overnight, though. (No pun intended!

Awakening33, do you have migraines? I would like to pass this info on to a lady who has migraines that send her to bed several times. I would love to hear a personal story if it helps or not.
Thanks, Gwynn

Gwynn, I am a walking talking migraine! Until mag oil, of course. I have been migraine free for over 3 years now! I get/got the type of migraines that have the visual aura that comes before the migraine. Once the aura goes away I am in excrutiating pain, vomitting (TMI, in know, but I would skip right past the nausea and go right to the toilet!), lights and smells were unbearable! When I read that MO helps with that, I thought, "yea, sure!" But, I ordered the MO. Didn't use it. Got the aura and went for the MO to rub it into the soles of my feet, the toes, the web of my toes (just trying to remember things that I read about reflexology). The aura went away (it usually lasts from 30 -60 minutes) and I didn't get a headache. Sometimes I don't get the headache, and I'm never sure why that is, but I remained cautiously optimistic. The next couple times, I did the same thing and thought there must be something to this. Now I'm a pretty faithful MO foot soaker. By that I mean that with the holidays, I got caught up with all the festivities and didnt soak like I should (usually every other day is what my body needs). I let, at least, a week or more go by, I lost track of when I last soaked. Yesterday close to the end of my work day, I got that aura and it lasted over 45 minutes. Usually I can just rub mo on my feet to hold me over til I get to soak. I was so busy with customers, I just couldn't. I thought now I've done it, I'm going to get a damn headache! On the drive home, (dd was driving!) the aura went away and I didn't get the headache, either. I soaked my feet last night, and I will again tonight, just to boost my levels. Then I'll go back to every other day. That aura is now my body's way of letting me know that my magnesium levels are getting low and not a sign that a migraine is on the way. I always have a small spray bottle of mo in my purse, just in case.

I once asked our local vitamin shop owner if he carried it; he said no, and started to give me a lecture on how to best incorporate magnesium supplements into my routine. I told him how I heard that people can soak their feet, or spray it on their feet, and get better absorbtion than with a fizzy drink. He seemed very doubtful. He's been like that about other newish and helpful products. So I ordered from Health-and-Wisdom and haven't bought another magnesium product since. Come to thinnk of it, I haven't been in his store since then... so I must be doing pretty well! Yay!
Loving T-Tapp, it's the most sensible system of exercise I've ever encountered.

Wow Michelle! I am so excited. I too suffer from migraines that make me cry but the crying makes it worse. My attacks are normally 3 days. I'm so excited to now that this might be a healthy solution for me. The Topomax the dr put me own makes me so drowsy. I once fell asleep at the wheel. I've since cut them back to only 25 mg a day vs the 200 I was on.

Michelle and Awakening33, this is so exciting to read! I am giving this lady a call tomorrow for sure! Michelle, so glad you are doing better. I don't suffer from migraines but I understand they are excruciating.
