Error for New Threads

I got that error message as well. Also everytime I have replied to a thread, it double posts. After the first time, I have been really careful to only click once. I went in and deleted the second post, but that seems to add time and effort to the posting process. Ok, now I'm talking nicely to my computer and it'll work perfectly this time. lol

I just realized that it posted, so I hit the back button and go happily along!

Seems to be happening to everyone. Happens to me most of the time if not all of the time.

After I post, I just hit the "what's new" button at the top of the page and it takes me to all the most recent, unread posts in all sections of the forum. (LOVE that button) And at the top of the list is my post. That way I know for sure it posted. But I haven't had that problem here at work in several weeks (knock wood...) Just at home on the laptop.

I hit new posts. It seems the problems are slightly different depending on the browser I'm using, so that's probably the issue - trying to make it compatible with everything & maybe it's not possible. Those of us who've been dealing with it for some time now know that our posts usually post even if it looks like they didn't initially. Just like trying to edit posts. Just ignore that spinning thing - it saved the changes.

Maybe it's just me and you don't want me here. If that's the case, just be upfront and less generic. You know? LOL!
Sometimes I wonder is anyone reads these negative/sucky comments, anyway...... At least they aren't generic, but with heart and soul, every one of us..........

LOL Lori! I have this quirk where I am working on a post, open another window to go look for a link or copy and paste from another post, and then when I hit submit, it tells me I have to wait so many seconds---and I hadn't posted in the past 5 minutes! I've learned to use the other open window to double check because that's been the source of my double posts! Interesting....

But you know, to not have the absolutely TRASHY trolls, I'll put up with a little inconvenience....and at least we're not alone in our "rejection"!

I open another screen like Trisch said in another post if I post a new thread to see if it is for real it was bad, or error, etc. For replying, I click the refresh button on my scree and make sure that are posted instead of hitting the submit and save that it does not do anything more than just the spinning wheel of death. Love that term Lori!
