    Default Workout Routine

Hi Everyone! I am new here and excited to be on the forum...I guess I am finally a bit of a groupie.

Just a quick background before I ask your opinion on what to do from here on out....

I started T-Tapp Sep 13, 2010. I am a size 16 top and 14 bottom. I did the 14 day BootCamp with BWO+ and then every other day for another 14 days. In those 4 weeks I lost 11 inches!

Because I am a bit impatient for even more results...I wanted to start the Total Workout Boot camp and have lasted 7 days till today. I feel my body being a bit tired and this last week of doing the TWO I lost 0 inches. I am considering doing a rotating routine with TWO and BWO+ from here forward, with Sunday as my rest day.

Am I pushing my body too hard too fast? Do I just push through and keep going? What is this I read about letting the swelling of the body from workouts go down?

Today I decided to do the BWO+ and am wondering what all you more experienced T-Tappers Might say in how to continue my workout Routine.

    Thanks in advance!

    Welcome Haramat!

Wow! That is a GREAT start! 11 inches in 4 weeks is FANTASTIC! I'm not a trainer, but my first impression is that you might be pushing a little too hard... Give your body a rest - maybe go to every other day with TWO. Are you doing the workout or the Instructional #2? It's really important to do instructionals for a week (or more) to really teach your mind/muscles the moves.

A lot of us who were fortunate enough to go to the retreat found that there was a significant inch loss several days AFTER the retreat as a result of muscle swelling. It takes a few days for everything to settle. So with as hard as you have been working, it's entirely possible that's what is going on.

Cbuffy is right--you really shouldn't do another bootcamp for 4-6 weeks, and really, only then if your inch loss is stalling or you've been away from tapping for a few weeks.

Consistency yields more inch loss for me than bootcamps and even Retreats! You've gotten a GREAT start! Hang in there and stay consistent--EOD for TWO if that's your choice. Just make sure you do Instructional 2 for a week or two to get that NK connection going!

    Welcome to T-Tapp!

Welcome to you, and wonderful enthusiasm you have! Congratulations on your results; and I agree with everyone that the lengthy bootcamps so back-to-back can result in overtraining. But I'm not a trainer, so please defer to what they have to say.

Again, congratulations to you, Haramat! Listen to your body, and remember that less is indeed more.

Thank you all for your encouragement. I think that you are all right. I do need to listen to my body. I think it is one of the true benefits of T-Tapp I am getting; to feel what my body needs and get that NK flow going! I didn't realize that about the Boot camps, but it makes a lot of sense to just keep going...staying consistent.

You ladies are wonderful. Thanks for taking time from your day to help me out!

Welcome Haramat! So glad you're here for the support and community we have online.

Even though BWO+ isn't "technically" considered a bootcamp, I don't like to get caught up in the technicalities. And the bootcamp periods are a general guide for optimum results...everyone is different and at different levels. And you're body may not be able to handle a 14 day bootcamp where some might. Like you said and others above. Listen to your body. I know I get tired of hearing that sometimes, and sometimes you don't know what the heck your body is saying (so how can you listen to it, right?), but really, that is part of the process too. Being able to identify what and when to push more, and when to back off.

It sounds like you were doing great with the BWO+, but I too always want more, more, more, better, faster, more. Even though you had awesome results, you want more, better results so I totally get that. I would alternate TWO and BWO + every other day, with one full complete day off per week. After trying that for a week or two, re-evaluate. How do you feel? Can you do that again? Are you tired? Are you motivated? Are you dragging? If it seems that was too much, try alternating TWO, PBS and Ttapp twist, every other day with maybe one of the TWO days do a BWO+. Just so you aren't doing more than 3 TWO a week and BWO+ or a PBS/TTapp combo alternating in between. Hope that wasn't too confusing.

Welcome again and glad you're here.

    Hi Haramat,

Welcome, I actually went to your blog, beautiful designs, well done blog. I was so inspired to do a blog like that, but I am lazy, that thought passed, but your web design is beautiful.

I am relatively new, tapping since end of July. However, I do have some questions, you did Instructionals on Day 1, TWO Superslow on Day 2, TWO on Day 3? What was the other 4 days, a mix too? I think Teresa advised to learn and practice instructional #2 one to two weeks or longer before starting the bootcamp, see the booklet or instruction comes with the DVD. I also see your results are achieved mostly on arm and waist, but 0.5" on the ab, butt, thigh, so I suspect that KLT and tuck (curl your core) need more work.

You might want to slow down and concentrate on Instruction #2 and really learn it first. In addition, the bootcamp is the 4-14 days for the same exercise, Superslow teaches tweaks that you might not want to learn yet, too many variations on the same moves might confuse your body and that you are not building the beginner TWO neuro-kinetic. Also, don't measure while in bootcamp, at least wait 2-3 days after bootcamp to measure because of the swelling during the bootcamp.

I see that you have the book, on the back, there is a DVD, do the OIP, HF, they are micracles for the belly. I lost an inch on my belly in the 7 days that I was waiting for the book and the DVD to arrive.

Not that I know more, but I make most of the mistakes myself.

Welcome, Haramat! Yes, yes, yes...listen to your body! I am having to that very thing right now. I wish I could do longer workouts, do them more frequently, even do a short workout every other day. But I'm listening as hard as I can. Taking my time, knowing that I'm in this for the long haul.

    You are doing GREAT!
