Default Question about hiting a plateu

    Hi!
I have been T-tapping for about 5 weeks now. In the first 3 1/2 weeks I lost 36 inches (including several inches off my waist and Abs) Now I have stopped losing and have even gained a couple of inches back. I am definately in the more to lose category, am breastfeeding an almost 3 month old, and just doing BWO+ 4-5 times a week. Have also started doing half frogs and organs in place.
Any tips or advice would be helpful! Went from a size 22 to a 20 and hoping to make it down to a 14 or so.
    Thanks!
    Kim

Welcome, Kim! And WOW! What great results you've already gotten!

A few years ago at a clinic, DrW shared that losing inches is still a "stress" on the body, and the body may need to stop and "regroup" before moving on to lose more. I started at a 22W and have found that true many times over the past 3 1/2 years!

You can do it! Just stay consistent and go to your personal max--it will change as you get stronger!

    Keep up the GREAT work!

    Kim,
Just wanted to say Hi and WELCOME to the forums!

Sounds like you've had a great start. Trisch had some good advice for you, and others will likely be along to encourage you as well. This is a great place to get help and have questions answered. Wishing you great success on your journey!

Started T-Tapp in July 2010 after searching for a good strengthening/stretching/flexibility workout. I think I found it!

Hi, and congratulations on your progress! I think (and hope a trainer will correct this if it's misinformation) that plateaus are a normal part of getting healthy and losing weight, and really like what Trisch wrote. But so many T-Tapp success stories can attest to the fact that if you keep going, you can continue to make progress. Since you are breast-feeding as well, your body may be plateauing a bit right now, since you're working it with the exercise and the breast feeding, but I don't know for sure, not having had children. Hang in there, and keep Tapping!

When you get discouraged by a plateau, remind yourself: "T-Tapp has worked for me thus far; so there's no reason to doubt it won't work today or in the future."

Stick to the fight when you are hardest hit. It's when things seem worse that you musn't quit.

Welcome, Kim! And congratulations on your Little One! I agree with Trisch about losing inches IS a stress on your body. Stay consistent. Revisit the Instructions every once in a while. Keep making good choices in eating habits and do a little T-Tapp every day. These forums are GREAT for encouragement and help. So keep visiting and asking questions. The trainers are so good about pinpointing some things that we might not be thinking about when it comes to getting off a plateau.

Hi Kim! Congratulations on your inch loss! You've probably noticed a recurring theme here - Be Consistent. If you have time to read around the boards, you'll also learn that our fat rearranges as our body is building muscle. So, if it seems as though you've gained in one area, it could just be temporary. 36 inches is a great achievement, and most likely, your body is "regrouping" itself.

Keep up the good work, and stay on the boards for encouragement. Soon, you'll be sharing your testimony about how you broke through a plateau!

Welcome, Kim! Just hang in there and keep tapping. I lost 55 inches in the first 3 months and then didn't lose anything for the next 9 months. It's just been within the last month that I started losing again. I stuck with it because the way T-Tapp makes me feel. Also, even though I wasn't losing I could tell a difference in my body and in the way my clothes were fitting. Go to your max and stay consistent and you'll start losing again!
