Thread: Skechers Shape Ups

    Default Skechers Shape Ups

I just bought a pair of Shape Ups and my feet automatically want to turn inward making my knees turn inward. If I'm correct in my t-tapping this is the opposite of what I want. Does anyone else have this problem?

    Blessings.

I do not have the Shape Ups. Are they actually turning your feet in or does it just feel like it.

When people start Tapping they sometimes complain of feeling like they have their feet

turned in and their knees can hurt.

Usually it's because they have never walked in alignment before. It takes your tendons,

ligaments, attachments a bit to lengthen, strengthen and get used to this position. I wonder if this is your case?

Are you usually a duck walker or do they actually make your feet turn in when lined up with

a ruler/stripes on the wood floor/parking lot lines??

    Lori,

My feet actually want to put the weight on the inner foot causing my knees to knock. I watched the DVD that came with the shoes and it said that the ankle needs to remain straight in order to walk properly in the shoes. I'm wondering if it would be better to get a regular pair of sneakers for walking or if I should continue working with these in hopes of strenthening my ankles by keeping them straight. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Blessings,

Since you already have alignment issues, I would suggest a regular Skecher, Energy model 2250 or

Premium 1728, or other sneaker with a strong lateral support, until your knees, ankles and arches are

stronger, then go back to the Shape Ups for everyday walking/wear.

    But that's just my opinion!
