    Question Sore Ribs

    Hi Everyone!

I’m new to T-Tapp and have a question for the more experienced Tappers out there. The ribs on the right side of my body are sore to the touch and they hurt when I tuck. Has anyone experienced this before? I’ve been learning to Tapp for the past few weeks, and my ribs have hurt for about a week. I’m still using the instructional section of the Total Workout so that I can get the form down. I do Hoe Downs once or twice per day, and regularly check my posture for shoulders back, lats locked, and ribs up. Is my form so far out of whack that it’s hurting my ribs, or does it hurt because I’m getting used to the moves?

Any comments or suggestions are much appreciated!

    TIA!!
    Nancy

    Hi Nancy!
Have you had any prior injures?
I have and know that I need a chiro adjustment, so my rib pain is from a prior injury.
Sometimes I can feel if I did not have proper form and I will feel "enhanced" pain!

What is your age bracket? That could be a factor, too.

A Trainer will probably post here for you, but if not, remember that whenever you
purchase a T-Tapp WO, you get free support, so you can always call or e-mail the
    T-Tapp office with your questions.

    Hi Piglet!

Thanks for your response. I dislocated my left knee in 2005, but no prior injuries to my ribs or back. That’s not to say my spine couldn’t use a little adjustment. I’m 30 years old (FYI). I lost a lot of muscle last year due to a “cleansing” diet that left my body starving, so bye- bye muscle. Maybe I just need to be far more focused on my form, from head to toe?

That’s a good reminder about the free support. I should probably give the office a call!

Thanks again, Piglet. Have a great day!
