Default I am confused about MORE

    Hello to all,
I am confused about the MORE DVD. I have just read that doing it everyday is ok. But not everday with chair and broom. Is that right? I was doing EOD with MORE instructions plus chair/broom. Then off days doing chair and broom or chair/broom.
So how do I really need to workout with MORE?
Have already completed bootcamp beginning of DEC. Wouldn't doing it everyday be like a bootcamp?
Also, I am still having problems tucking butt when doing T-Tapp Twist!

    Thanks!

MORE, just the 20 minute workout (or the From My Home to Yours MORE) are safe to do daily. Unless you have a lot of health issues, then it might be too much and you would do it EOD.

Doing it with the other three workouts (chair, broom and step) makes it a full workout, and you would only want to do ALL of that EOD. You could still do just MORE or one or two of the "shorts" on your "off days".

Off days should generally be 20 minutes or less, as a guideline.

I don't know how the Instructional falls in with all that, but I would treat it as a "full" workout. That's what I'm doing this week--MORE today, MORE Instructional tomorrow, MORE Wednesday, then MORE plus the three short workouts Thursday.

I'm not a trainer--this is from what I've gleaned on the forums, but a trainer may pop in and clarify!

Hope that helps and doesn't confuse you further!

Here is an direct excerpt from the booklet that Teresa Tapp wrote that came with the MORE WO. This is from page 8.
    Off Day Workouts

"Less IS more with T-Tapp! Doing something every day is not necessary for you to get results. Plus, it's a good idea to take days completely off to let your body rest and repair yor muscles. You will find that you get much better results that way. Here are a few samples off day workouts for you to choose from:
    • Take the day completely off (especially after a tough workout)
    • Primary Back Stretch in the morning
    • Hoe Downs after meals or in the afternoon
    • T-Tapp Chair
    • Step Away
    • Choose several exercises that target your areas of concern.
If you try it as Teresa directs, you will be surprised at the results you get. I was.

Whenever I, personally, have tried to workout everyday for an extended period of time I have burned out. Do read the "Must Read" threads at the begininng of the General Discussion threads. There is a wealth of info there that will help you.

Yep Piglet you are so right. I tried to do MORE three days in a row working on a bootcamp and I had to stop and take off several days. I am still building up my strength. My doc upped my b-12 injections and he said that should help me with my stamina and exercising.

I believe that MORE instructionals is a full-work out it is I think 45 minutes long.

I think you are right Rhonda. T-Tapp MORE w/Instr is close to 45 minutes and what a WO it is! I think I will stay with the instructional workout for the beginning of the challenge. It is the one I got the best results with.

I did learn the hard way about listening to my body so I won't burn out or hurt myself.
Everybody is different, but I don't think a person can go wrong by following Teresa's instructions.

Thanks everyone for your clarification! I was going by what I read in the booklet. I think I got thrown off by reading a thread!
I will definately stick with the MORE instructional and then on off days broom/chair etc.
And some days I have taken completely off! Just could not seem to do it!

I will join on the MORE thread! Thanks!

I started the MORE about two weeks ago...I did the instructional a couple of times and then did a 7 day bootcamp with the MORE workout. I also added in Flat Stomach dvd moves that come with the book to finish the workout. It takes my about 30 minutes which is perfect. I do it in the mornings when I am not working but while I am working I find it easier to do it as soon as I get home from work. I am usually done by 6:00 and then can brush, shower and eat dinner. Sometimes if I cook something fast I start at 6:00 and eat at 6:30 and then shower. What I really like about the MORE workout is that there isn't a whole lot of moves or counts and I can really concentrate on form. I have gotten so much better at the side twists (don't have all the acronyms down yet) I can feel my stomach hardening and keep my knees pushing out and tuck engaged...love it...there are a couple of moves I have a little more trouble with and I am sure I will get better as I continue to work on this dvd. I have quite a few more workouts with the body brush dvd, the BWO+ and lady bug...so I can keep t-tapping for a while but I need to keep it simple or I'm afraid I will not do it. I have to look forward to the workout and so far with the MORE I do!! I am doing it every other day because I think it is important for muscles to recoup...I may add broom and chair or other short ones on off days that work different muscles but right now I feel it is important to rest inbetween. As I get more fit and better with the moves I am sure I will look forward to doing more.

Good for you Rexannes! You're exactly right - consistency is what pays off in the end, the workout that works best for you is the one that you WILL do. MORE seems to fit the bill perfectly for you.
