The book does, but you may find yourself agreeing with so many of the 4 profiles characteristics that it can confuse you as to WHICH ONE you may be. I think the average attendee of the seminar I attended read the book at least twice and still needed some guidance.

If you can clear a lot of preconceived ideas about yourself (the writing on your walls by others as to who and what you are) with EFT it will help a lot.

http://dressingyourtruth.com/energy-...woman-are-you/ A while ago they had a special for the online course and download of the book on audio for $39.00 and it was a good deal. I don't know if they still have it available or not.

Great, thanks. They do still have the $39 deal going, but since I've got the EFT down and have a far clearer idea of who I really am than I've ever had, I think I'll take my chances on just the book.

    Thanks again!

    Question

I am having to do more EFT on the safety issues that dealing with the abusive husband situation in my initial post, but also, the practical steps as well.

I checked in with the courthouse yesterday to find out what I should do and they said next time he fixates on me and won't leave me alone, immediately call the police and file a report. It creates a paper trail and a history. I found out that 4 weeks ago he physically assaulted my friend and one of her three sons and she never filed a report. I encouraged her to do so.

It IS scary because guys like this are the kind of guys you read about in the news who show up and shoot everyone, and it's always THEIR fault and never his own.

I'm doing surrogate EFT when around him to calm him down, like if we see him tonight at our meeting of worship. I'm hoping there won't be more encounters and trying to clear the fear that Sunday's attack was just the beginning. I know we create what we fear, but also, that we cannot control other people and this guy is involved.

Before he married my friend, he had stalked another woman harassing her to marry him and my friend never knew about it. It was a rushed marriage and never should have happened, as she has learned to her sorrow. This guy thinks everything in his life is someone elses' responsibility and that his happiness depends upon them, not himself, and his anger THEY cause, not himself, etc...... He cleaned up about 4 years ago from a lifetime of alcoholism and drug abuse so who knows what kind of lucidity he is actually capable of?

I do know he behaves stupidly and is like the senselessness the Scriptures describe and you CANNOT fix stupid. Anyway, if anyone has insights to share, I'd love to hear them.

hugs and thank you for listening to this rambling post......

    Hi Pamela,

I wonder whether you've done something like what's described here: http://www.emofree.com/Articles2/influence-others.htm
Of course the article has to do with learning EFT but i think its applicability is universal. I used it for an old bf that I'd always been trying to "help", and doing this kind of script helped me release a lot of that need. Not only did it relieve the pressure on myself, but I'm sure it released the pressure on him, as well. I am more detached, in a healthy way, and so I know I can see more clearly what the right course of action (if any) is.

And regarding surrogate EFT, have you tried the technique where you switch up the pronouns? So do a full round speaking of the guy in the 3rd person (Even though he is such a jerk, etc). Then do a round in 2nd person (Even though you're such a jerk...). And finally, do a round in 1st person (Even though I'm a jerk...). I haven't actually tried this myself yet, but it seems like it could be a really comprehensive way to do surrogate work.

    HTH a bit. {{{hugs}}}

Actually, I am not trying to fix him and never have, but after his assault on Sunday on me for comforting his wife (my initial post goes into this) to keep him at bay. The recent Road Rage script came in the newsletter a couple of days ago and I thought about maybe it helping him to calm down as he just twitches in rage. The guy is scary and has no place being where he is. It's a real scary shame and I learned at the courthouse yesterday he has been banned from many of the homes in our congregation for his showing up in tirades regarding his wife.

I have a 5 y.o. to protect as well as myself.

I didn't mean I thought you were trying to fix him. But a bunch of those statements are still good, I think, for lessening the stress and improving understanding. Because, as crazy as the guy is, he's doing the best he can with what he's got, and it seems that if you can on the one hand be safe but on the other also have room for compassion, that that's the most positive outcome you can have. So that's why I suggested that script. I'm sorry you're having such a rough time.

Okay, went through the course but couldn't, for the life of me, figure out which type I am. But I will go through it again and read the book when it comes and see if I can figure it out. I do know I"m NOT a Type 1.

{{{Pamela}}}--here's a hug for you as you deal with issues with this guy.

More questions: does the book give information on dressing for your type? I've figured out that I'm a Type 2 with secondary Type 3. Does this system take into account your natural coloring? I found myself very drawn to the Type 1 colors and images and then realized that my husband is a Type 1. And does it also take into account your personal style preferences, such as liking lace rather than tailored?
