The sports bra that I wear, absolutely love, and have ordered 3 more is the Natori Performance Sports bra. The first one I found at Nordstroms Rack for $21 but the 3 I ordered online, unfortunately, were not such a bargain... I think they were $52 each. A thicker feel of like a nylon cotten mix ~ feels a lot more substantial than just cotton. Love the seaming and really feels supportive.

    Blessedmama,

The racer back one it is Champion reversible racer back (I've read the racer backs help with posture, true or not, I love this one) Here is a link (it is located in their clearance section under sports bra)

    I hope this link works.

Also the others I got, they aren't as thick but still thick enough:

The seamless bras, I got a white and black one:

Hope this helps. The racer back is a better price. Good luck

Here's a link to the place where I got mine.
I got the $12.99 one in blue. They had more of a size range I think.
This particular sports bra would be for larger girls.

I need one that I can adjust the straps on and that has a hook & eye closer and
style similar to a regular bra. If I want it to fit snuggly to minimize movement, I have too hard a time manuevering into one that pulls over my head at this time.

    I love this one:

I am "gifted" in that area. And saw this bra on a show. They were testing it on a trampoline. It is wonderful. I even wore it to run!

I'm sorry the Enell didn't work for you Heather, but I'm glad you shared your story.

There are so many sports bras out there to choose from that one "kind" does not fit all. Fortunately there are a lot of ladies out there that have found much cheaper sports bras that are sharing their experience as well. That's what I love so much about this forum! I actually did a search (here and other sites) on sports bras to find the one I'm using now because I had spillage all around and no support whatsoever with the cheaper ones. As for the uniboob, I thought that due to the compression and encapsulation, all sports bras did that...or maybe it's just my size?
Anyway, I know I'll still come back here again when I'm much smaller (than I am now) to find a sports bra that will work for me then, so please keep sharing ladies!

Ok, here is my suggestion. I have some bras that are pretty and I love, but they are too thin when it is cold outside (if you get my drift). As I nursed my children as well and even though it has been twenty years it is still an issue. I use the fabric bandaids. You tape over the nipple while you are warm and they stay undercover so to speak. I have used this technique since I was a nineteen year old mom wearing some thin shirts. I still use it under bathing suits and such.

Just a thought if you did not want the expense of more sports bras or need it in the pool area.

That's a great idea, Neecy. I've looked up some of these, and the nicer ones probably would be better for that kind of coverage, but since I've waited around so long and can't spread the $$ over a few months, I may have to go with cheaper and thinner!

I really appreciate the suggestions, though, and am bookmarking this! Maybe I'll get one here and there so as not to break the budget!!!

One thing that frustrates me, though, is by their "sizing" I would be a 36 nothing! My ribs measure just under 30", add 5" round up....that's 36, and my bust line measures 36!!! Now, I'm not well-endowed, but I'm not a AA, either!!! THIS is why I HATE trying to find a good bra! Whenever I do, I better buy a lifetime supply--they always discontinue them! *sigh*

If anyone else has suggestions, keep 'em coming!

The other "problem" is if you buy a lifetime supply you are wasting a bunch of money, cuz our bodies keep CHANGING! I just finished the BWO+ challenge and lost an inch in my bust, another inch in my ribs and 2.5 in my pecs. So I'm buying CHEAP bras and planning on out-shrinking them. LOL

Trisch, the Champion sports bras which I got at Costco are style 0649B (racer-back). I don't know if other styles have a double layer of fabric. I paid $23.99 for a set of two.

    I've been wondering.....

    Sports bra fashion etiquette.

I usually were my regular bra and t-shirt to work out in at home, but bought some new clothes to wear at the retreat because I want people to see my form and correct me. They are racer back sleeveless shirts that have a built in bra. I'm not sure the built in bra does it for me in the support area. Do I just buy a sports bra and wear under it? Will that be overkill?

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
