    Default Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet

I have a co-worker (long working relationship) using this diet and has lost a significant amount of weight in a short time.
I know Tappers are very knowledgable and wanted to know if anyone knows about this?
I'm not a big fan of quick weight loss and worry that as soon as she stops, all the weight will come back on. She's tried many things over the years and this is just one of those things.

I'm also worried that I should just mind my own business, but at the same time I've known this person for many years.

Sign me up!!! Is this for real? I love cookies.

I think I'll stick to whole foods.

    I wish your friend well!

Funny to see this post. I was just flipping through the channels this morning while feeding my little guy and saw this Dr on a talk show. I believe he said the diet was 800 calories. And he thought it was fine. He had two people on there that had lost a lot of weight eating the cookies. Another Dr was on there along with a nutritionists saying it wasn't a good thing. He said he had worked with a half million people.

That's interesting. I wonder if that's why she decided to tell us how she is losing the weight. She's been on it for a couple of months.

Wouldn't you know, The doctor even admits that the cookies don't taste good. How long do you think you can stick with something that doesn't taste good?

For me, it's fresh fruits, veggies and lean meat, lots of water, exercise, meditation, good sleep habits and lots of time spent with people you really like - now there is something that works!

Can you imagine what could be done with all the money spent on weight loss? WOW - bogles my mind.

    Default Advice needed.

    Bump

Linda, I love your "diet" plan. Great advice. I want to get your advice on something else if I may.

My husband is constantly making the same statement you made here regarding all the money spent on weight loss. BUT he wants to include T-Tapp in this category. When he makes his snide remarks I begin explaining all the reasons T-Tapp is different....that it is NOT a weight-loss program or even an exercise program, but a wellness/preventative program....that if it was just a money thing, T would be mass marketing, etc. He just rolls his eyes and ignores me.

Have you any advice on how I might handle this matter. He certainly doesn't prevent me from doing what I need to do BUT his support would make things so much better. In addition....he REALLY needs to do the T-Tapp program. He is a good 30 pounds overweight...all in his tummy....he spends all day everyday outside cutting the yard or pasture or messing with the hourses, and his skin is just so damaged from 50 years of this. I do not like his criticism, but more importantly, I worry about his health and need to find a way to convince him to do this with me.

What can I do?? If anyone has any advice on this...I'd appreciate it. I may need to post this someplace else...any ideas where...OR just start a new thread "unsupportive husbands" or something. Anyway, I'll start with this. Thanks for listening everyone!
