uneven thighs
Does anyone know if there is a way to even out thighs that are losing inches unevenly?? My right thigh is 1 1/4" bigger than my left!!! Certainly makes clothes fit funny.

Vicki, my right thigh is usually a good half inch (or more sometimes) bigger than my left. I'm right handed and I have osteopenia in that hip. I don't want to make you paranoid but perhaps this imbalance might be related to your hips and/or bone structure.

I can't help you with your uneven thighs. What a drag! There is about 1/2" difference in mine. Not as bad as yours.
I DO want to congratulate you on your progress with T-tapp. 11" and 4lbs in THREE 3 weeks!!!!! YEAH!!! I am new to t-tapp (1 month) and I have lost nothing. (depressing) What is your regimen? What do you do? Are you dieting?
Hooray for your progress!

I have been doing Basic+. Started with a 10 day bootcamp and then started going EOD. I am trying to follow the GM/MM food plan. Not perfect with it, but much better than I was eating before. I started at a size 16 and am only 5'3" and am very small framed so I should probably be in a 6 or 8. I have alot to lose on my bottom half....your losses will come!!! Have you been finding other changes in your body other than inch loss???

It's normal for thighs to be different sizes, just as your arms and calves to probably be different sizes in the beginning, because of muscle dominance, the way we stand..... There's good news, in time with T-Tapp, they *will* even out! Try alternating which leg you start your flamingo, one legged moves on. This week, I'll do as Teresa says, next week I'll do as Teresa does (mirror her)!

Casey posted this over on the saddlebag challenge thread (week 1), and thought I'd share it with ya!:
quote:How to fix uneven upper thigh measurements:
Most of us have a dominant side of the body and that's usually where the upper thigh measurement is larger. You can accelerate the "balancing" of the upper thigh measurements by applying basic T-Tapp techniques during the day. For example, as Teresa discusses we usually sink our weight into one hip when standing because it's comfortable. This lets the hip jut out and inactivates the muscle attachments there and probably also at the knee since it will have a tendency to roll in. Apply the basic T-Tapp techniques in this case... stand with your weight into one hip, but slightly tuck the butt until you feel the lower back release, slightly bend that knee and keep KLT activated, make sure you stand with good posture and that's it! Don't push the technique as much as you do in the workout, all you need is to slightly activate everything... you'll be sneaking in exercise and no one will notice. You can burn off that extra inch on your dominant upper thigh to get even, balanced thighs.
Hope this helps!

Hi Vicki!
I just wanted to chime in and say that T-Tapp HAS made my measurements equal. It took some time but it did happen! Stay with it!

Vicki, congratulations on your results! Awesome!
One leg of mine is bigger than the other, and I too agree with Lori about dominance.
Which leg do you usually use first when stepping? If you ever did cartwheels as a kid, which leg did you put on the ground first? That's probably your dominant leg.
If you work that leg first during the workouts (lunges, balance sequence, etc.) you may not work the other leg as hard, because your body is fatigued and your non-dominant leg isn't as strong as the one you usually use as a dominant leg. So the advice to switch it up, start with the other leg, is great advice.
Hope this helps, and again, way to go on your progress!
