I see that you get a LOT of unwanted spam messages here. And since this is an open forum, you'd have to expect that, I suppose. I am an admin for a a private Mom's forum and have gone through a lot of issues with spamming myself over the past 3 years. I finally found a host forum that, even after a year of use, I don't have ANY spam issues with. In fact, outsiders can only read forums that I allow to be visible to others. And even then, I can control whether or not these forums allow posts.

So, I'm wondering if privatizing the forums here has ever come up for discussion?

janet, 99.99999% of the time, the office works hard to delete junk on these forums. during the retreat, just before & after, with all the activity going on, there may be some that slip in under their radar. it's not the usual mo though there has been more despite their diligence.
