    Default Balance Sequence

I have a heck of a time turning my foot in, and keeping it turned in, during the begining moves of the balance sequence. Any tips or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Thinking *lead with the heel* helps me. I especially feel it in the abs when I remember the to *lift with the knee* with shoulders back and down.

Thanks Lori. I will try that tonight. I can't get my leg up very high either, but I don't care about that at this point. I am really focusing on form. I too, can really feel it in my abs. I also really feel it in my abs when doing TTN.

When I lift to the side, my foot doesn't come off the ground more than a few inches. I focus on knee bent deep and pushing out *more* on the lift of the opposite leg with butt tucked tight and tighter as I lift. I'm a very Short Torso.

Where in your abs are you supposed to feel it, the front or the side? I still have a time with the balance sequence and it's been a year and a half.

I don't know where you are "supposed" to feel it, but I feel it in my upper abs - where the six pack is located. When I do TTT, I have been doing double dips, and can really feel it in my obliques, right down through my hips.

I feel it from just below my belly button all the way up. I do feel it in my obliques for sure!

To help keep the toe in on the lifting leg:

Lift the leg a tiny bit off the floor, then push the heel down and lift the toe up. Keep the foot in that position and lift out pushing the heel down and keeping the toe up.

    Don't forget tuck, twist, tighten.

    Hope that helped.[8D]

Thanks Jenny! Between you and Lori, I think I just may have it! Tonight will be the test.
