Default What supplements to take? perricone?

I have Dr. Perricone's book but to take all the supplements would cost me a fortune. I am 35. I have mood/depression issues. I am not overweight. I have been taking the nature's way Alive multi. I also take alfalfa, fibertox, cellfood, emergenC powder. I have udo's oil but have not been taking daily. I take fish oil and msm also country life cal mag.

Are there other supplements I should incorporate?

    Thanks

    Cindy

    Cindy,

You might want to read the Magnesium Oil thread on the Off Topic Forum. It just might be what you're looking for.

    Hi Cindy,

I have had the same issue myself and I decided to go see my doctor. He found out that there were some hormone issues. If you have not done that yet, I would highly recommend you do that. In today's world I have found that it is unfortunately not uncommon to feel this way, with all of the xenoestrogens, as they call them, from our foods and environment.
One supplement that I take that has seemed to really help is called Omega 3 Mood, it has got a high level of your Omega's, I also take 5HTP to help as well.

Thank you. I have 5htp. I will check into the omega 3 mood. My mood swings are terrible. I feel like a demon sometimes. lol.

sugar issues can tip the balance w/moods, hormones, blood sugar, & the fat we have becomes it's own organic organ of activity over time. kathleen desmaison's book, potatoes not prozac, has been the easiest to read & understand & use supplements & foods correctly. the only difference i make with her information is i modify food groups due to celiac. interestingly enough, celiac & gluten intolerances can mimic almost every other issue due to it's prevalence & affect on our nervous & circulatory & digestive systems.

keep movin'..the path shows up behind you...

Supplements do help, but diet is a huge help. As for eating, the fat flush plan worked great for me. It helped even out everything. It also cleans the liver which processes hormones. It helped me a bunch.

Cheap thoughts - sleep in complete darkness and get some sunlight without sunglasses or contacts everyday.

I'd still check with a doctor. It really can't hurt.

I hope you are feeling great soon!
