    Default Everyday Minerals SUNSCREEN, SPF30!

So I was looking around the Everyday Minerals website that was listed on another thread, while I'm waiting for my sample kit to arrive, and discovered that some of their "finishing powders" actually contain natural sunscreen with an SPF of 30! It looks really cool and I'm very excited at the thought of having such a light-feeling sunscreen in the hot humid summers we have in east Texas.

I've been using a moisturizer with SPF30, but of course, that makes it feel heavier. This mineral powder one can be used by itself, or over the top of your mineral makeup. Once I see how I like the make-up, I think I'll try switching to a lighter moisturizer for the summer and checking out the mineral powder sunscreen.

Just wanted to share, in case this excites anyone else as much as it does ME! LOL[)]

Thanks! I was wondering if they had a sunscreen. My Grandma recently told me I should really wear sunscreen on my face as she and my Aunt have had to have their noses peeled (sounds horrible) due to abnormal cells!
I too ordered the makeup samples from them. I have used them 2 times now and like it so far. I will have to give it a longer trial to see if my skin reacts to it. I really liked how the makeup did not fade all day! but it is not a completely matte look, which is a mental shift for me after wearing makeup always to control shine, it doesn't look bad or too shiny, just different.

Which formula did you get? I ordered samples in each of the 4 formulas except the matte, mostly because I think my makeup has been TOO matte looking and not as natural as the other formula's might be. That was part of the reason I'm not using SheerCover anymore, so I can't wait until my samples get here!

It can be hard to find a moisturizer with SPF30 that feels good all day, so I'm really excited about the mineral powder! I'll be able to use any moisturizer I like and just put the SPF on top.

I think most mineral makeup provides some sunscreen, because of the zinc oxide and similar compounds. I use Everyday Minerals, and feel like it's plenty of SPF for winter, or for workdays in the summer when I'm not out for long. But in humid weather, if you're counting on the powder to supply your sunscreen, you'll need to reapply. I tried using the mineral makeup alone as my sunscreen one day when I was in Florida recently, and I didn't reapply... by the end of the day I could tell I'd gotten too much sun.

I'll have to check the site again, to take a look at the SPF 30 powder... summer is coming!

Well summer is already here where I live and I have very pale skin that burns easily. Today it was in the high 80's and my face got a bit too much sum from running around and doing errands earlier! I wear mineral powder but forgot the sunscreen underneath![V] Those faces are me all red now!!

Moyne, I got the intensive, and the semi-matte formulas.
