Default Crocs sandals for kids and maybe mom

What do you think of the Croc sandals?
thinking of getting them for my 4 youngest for summer
Are the Shopko brand just as good?
    What's your experience?
(Looking forward to not mating oodles of socks! LOL)

my kids got me a pair for Christmas. They are fine for winter, but eh, my feet seem to sweat in them, so I won't be wearing them this summer. They are a great shoe to throw on for gardening though. I see lots of kids wearing them also.

My kids (4 and 2) both have a pair and love them. They've worn them in the house in cold/wet weather and outdoors when it's warm. They seem to be fine, and we just have the Shopko brand. The kids like them a lot but I've never tried them. Let me know if you do! I might have to try a pair.

    Hi Carol,

I bought these for both my kids last year to go to DisneyWorld and I can honestly say it was the BEST investment we ever made. Since it rains fairly regularly there we didn't have to deal with the socks and tennis shoes stuff. Just pulled out the poncho and covered our heads and clothes and the shoes just dried out. FABULOUS.

Now I WILL say that I tried on a pair myself and didn't think they would work well for me for doing as much walking as you do at Disney so I bought (as did my husband) a pair of TEVA'S and we LOVE them. Practically live in them. I DO want a pair of orange crocks for just running around though.

Several friends have bought the Payless knockoff version of the crocs (not sure what they are called) and they said they are fine but I'm not sure how they hold up over the long haul. My kids wear theirs all the time and they have held up wonderfully and if they get dirty you just hose them off in the sink.

Come to think of it, my SIL loves these shoes. She's a nurse and spends a lot of time on her feet. She has several pairs of the cheapo brands...either Payless or Shopko or both (maybe they're the same). I think she's still wearing pairs that she's had for quite a while. And heck, if you have to replace them after 6 months, you've only spent 10 bucks.

I bought the Payless ones last summer and I LOVE them! So far they seem to be holding up well, and i wear them all the time. Though i will admit, my feet tend to sweat in them a little in the summer.
