    Default Body Type

Others have been able to get help on this, so I though I might ask, too[:I]

I have always assumed I am a short torso, long leg body type--but thought I might ask the professionals for clarification. This way, when asked what my sign is, I can confidently say ST/LL or Combo/with ST tendancy or whatever.

Anyway, I have tried to follow measuring instructions, and get between 1 and 1.5 inches as rib-hip. And my ankle-knee and knee to hip joint are around 16-16.5" each. I try to be consistent, but have measured several times and keep getting slightly different numbers.

I tend to gain weight in my upper body-hip pads, back, bust, upper arms and tummy. Lower legs and arms are usually pretty thin looking even when I am 30 pounds overweight. And I definitely have the short torso issue of not much room for organs, and not being able to get my waist cinched in even with lots of ab/torso work.

According to my understanding of T's info, I believe I am a ST/LL, but I recently saw a full length picture in which I *appear* to be more evenly proportioned than I thought I was, so now I am wondering. If that makes any sense.

    Can someone help?

How many inches difference between your bust vs. waist and waist vs. hips?

The measurements are 39.75 for hips and 39 for bust. A lot of the bust measure is breast tissue, though. Does that make a difference? My ribcage just under my bust is 31" and just above it is 35".

Oh, and my waist is 31".

This is my second edit, as I misread your question. Sorry about that.

I think I must have about. 8 inches difference between total bust measure and waist and also between waist and hip.

You've got strong ST traits, and your legs ARE long. You've got a waist, though, so I'm going with short torso borderline combo. With time and the practice of lifting the torso off of the hips, you may find you get more distance rib to hip which will define the waist more.

Okay, thank you. Now, I guess I need to go practice 'lifting'.
