It's so sad. Wild Salmon is one of the last safe fish to actually eat.

Things migrate.
In view of the recent forum guidelines and the intent that this not be considered "political" or "offensive" I think that considering that we are a hemisphere away and in a different ocean system, I would say that it is still safe to eat Alaskan salmon. It is fisheries in the Pacific that will affect Alaskan fish sooner than those in the Atlantic, not that we should not be cautious. We are blessed to live within a mile of the Kenai River, known for its world record King Salmon and some of the best salmon runs. We're not going to stop going down to the river and catching some fish. I could make myself sick stressing about all the ways food could be compromised. Our family takes the best care possible with what is available and enjoy what we can, and try to be good stewards of the land.
