    Hi Courtney,
I have FMS and was diagnosed in Nov. 2005 but, have had symptoms since 2002. My mother also has it and we like you have been on a quest to find something that would heal our FMS our at least keep it in check. We take glyconutrients and we have had awesome results. You can read about what glyconutrients are on www.glycoscience.com and can find products on www.mannatech.com. The products we take for our FMS is the advanced ambrotose powder and the Plus tablets. The powder is much more effective then the capsules. At first when taking the product your symptoms will get worse and then it will get better. If you have FMS you may have to take more doses than is prescribed on the bottle until your symtoms go away and then you can find a maintenance dose that keeps you well. I read about the guaifenesin protocol and it seems very strict, not sure I would be able to stick to that?? But, I just felt lead to give you another option.

    Mona Lisa -

Thanks, I'll go read those links. I'm not totally sold on the guaifenesin just because it IS so restrictive...I don't want to give up my lavender oil!!

I take the advanced ambrotose powder and the Plus caplets, It was pretty hard when I first started because your symptoms do get worse but, after about 1 to 3 months (it's different for everyone) you really start to feel better and alot less pain, I can also go for longer periods without getting really tired. I just started it about 4 weeks ago and I am already getting good results I can't wait to see how I feel after 3 months! They say it can take up to 3 months for some people to see full results. I hope this will help those of you out there on the forum that struggle with FMS

I have been using Advanced Ambrotose since April. I had so many issues that it is taking a little longer to get the results I am looking for.

The enlarged joints in my fingers are mostly gone.(osteo arthritis) I have a cyst in my thigh that has been there for years that is almost gone. I have a fungus in my toe nails that seems to be getting better. My energy levels are starting to return and a lot of the pain I've had (which I think is FMS)is no longer there.

I am a Mannatech associate. My computer is down. If anyone has questions, please post them on the website and I will answer.

My mother has been struggling with advanced stages of fibromyalgia and neuropathy for about 17 years. She was on heavy doses of methadone, supplementing with Lorcet in between doses. She started the glyconutrients about 3-4 weeks ago and she has gotten completely off Lorcet and is getting fewer and farther between on the methadone. She tried the Guifenesin years ago, but from what I remember, didn't have any, or at least not real good, results. She seems to be feeling better than she has in years!!

    Hope this helps someone...
    Laurie

If your results with ambrotose powder seem to be slow going that means you need to up your dosage, I had to keep uping my dosage til I was taking 3 scoops 3 times a day also 3 plus caplets a day. The lady that introduced me to glyconutrients also suffers from FMS and she said she had to take up to 12 scoops a day til her FMS symptoms went away and then found a maintenance dosage that would keep her pain free. Just some tips I hope it helps
