    Default Lat engagement BREAKTHROUGH!

Eureka! Combining something Lori mentioned on another thread about poking your lats for muscle recognition with something I read by Covert Bailey a long time ago about fatiguing a muscle for muscle awareness, I tried something new.

Partly on purpose, partly by accident, I kept doing things where I KNEW I was engaging my lats -- for sure! I did that all day long, in addition to starting back to Total B/R after a couple weeks off. The result was lats significantly sore enough to REALLY know it when they are engaged.

My entire workout was so "lat-centered" as I made slight tweaks in form here and there throughout the whole thing, until I could REALLY tell my lats were working. I could not believe what a difference it made. Even doing DD later, I was amazed at how moving my elbow back and down just a little TOTALLY engaged my lat while working my gluts. It was so easy to tell when my lats were working.

I think I'm going to have to try this once a month or so, just to continue improving lat engagement. Hmmm...wonder what muscle I'll try next![)]

Very cool, thanks for sharing. Never thought 'lats' would be so important!!

    Thank you, Dan!

Christine, I never thoughts lats were all that important either, until I got on this forum and every single form tip, no matter which exercise it addresses, seems to focus on them! (In fact, I think Dan's kind of on a campaign about them!)

    Hi Christine,
In T-Tapp it's each and every move that is important. Each one is disigned for a specific function and the sequence of each move is essential. The T-Tapp workout is a progressive workout. Correct form and correct execution of each element of a given move and in all T-TAPP moves are the key to your T-Tapp success. And just when you think your at your best, it All changes because you have gotten stronger and can do it will more isometric resistance, deeper tucks, greater extentions, all so which will give an even more intense workout and you continue to advance. Rember, there is no TOP STEP on the T-TAPP ladder.

Moyne, You are too kind. My passion is to help all those who wish to help themselves....Just Like YOU!
