    Default Regal Tappers 10-17 April [attn MORE ladies]

    I am starting this for 1-Newbies, 2-MORE gals [specifically the More to Lose], and 3-anyone that need some encouragement to actually put the tapes in and DO them. Adding [since a few have asked] You don’t necessarily have to be doing the MORE workout. Most of us got together before T-Tapp MORE was released.

    I have seen several post when I began here with ladies that are so discouraged or overwhelmed because of having a lot to lose and the physical limitations that come with it. This program works but you do have to do it. I understand the fear/apprehension. So I decided to be a cheerleader for us.

    I picked the name Regal Tappers because it sounds better than Queen size, and it sounds positive. OUR MOTTO IS CUT REPS!

    The first rule it that everyone has to have a POSITIVE nickname/screenname. In preemie wards they give all of the babies strong names like Hercules and Xena so that they have positive energy to get stronger and healthier. If your imagination is taxed just put Queen or Princess in front of your name. [did you see "the Ya-Ya Sisterhood"? Great nicknames] If you don’t want to start over with a new screen name, at least make your signature with the positive name.

    2nd Rule-You have to say something positive about yourself in your posts-even if it is the same every time. It doesn't have to be physical, it can be "I am a good listener and my friends can count on me", but if you can say something positive it helps put a good spin on the day.

    3rd-Encourage someone else by name. What goes around comes around.

    4th-No one but you will know if you do this but do one nice thing for yourself a day. This does not mean treating yourself to a pint of Ben & Jerry's. Do your nails, put on some lipstick, brush your body etc.

    Rule 5-(but it should probably #2)-Measurements once a week, Scales once a Month.

    I'm adding this because every now and then when people see my sig they ask what I did to lose the inches.

    I did Instructional 1 for 4 days until I got tired of the instruction then went to Basic +. I have never done more of 6 of each in the Plies because my knees aren't up to that yet. [I started with 4 of each] Once I got a bit stronger, I tried modified Instructional 2, but that was after the 40 inches was mostly gone. [I did 4 to 6 reps instead of the full 8, with the exception of Balance] I really love the Balance sequence so I add that to Basic +. I didn't even think it was working at first because I was convinced I wasn't doing it right, after all some of the positions you get in you can't even see the screen, but 20 inches was gone the first week. [that was [u]my experience</u> and everyone differs]

    I did not diet however I had already made some modifications before T-Tapp that continued. I was already lower carb, I drink at least a gallon of water a day, the carbs I had were whole grain. I have a thing for butter pecan ice cream and Reeses cups [not together ] and I had them when the urge hit, but I did Hoedowns after [and sometimes before]. I try real hard to avoid fast food and I aim for healthier food when I do. I am not a salad person, so for me healthier is Chinese food or Arby's [they are very nice about giving you the whole wheat bread instead of a bun or you can get a wrap and they serve soup] or Boston Market [lots of choices there too].

    I DO NOT DRINK SODA-regular or diet-I'd rather blow my 120-210 calories on ice cream or cake :-) {every rare blue moon I want a ginger ale or root beer; I will have a glass [not a whole can or big gulp] of a non-caffeine soda and drink 3 glasses of water to counteract it.) Giving up soda is an easy way to get rid of some empty, bone depleting calories. If plain water is not doing it for you [though I will say get used to it] try some sparkling mineral water with a splash of OJ or cranberry juice. Now I would also say to add a few cups of unsweetened green tea to your day [it is also my one exception to the decaf rule-unless caffeine bothers you, the full caff version has more antioxidants. You can 'dust off the tea' but putting the teabag in hot water for 30 seconds-that will have most of the caffeine-and then putting it in a new cup of hot water for you to drink]

    I NO LONGER use Artificial Sweetners- I used to think Splenda was so much better than aspartame-it is not. In my house I use WheyLow or raw sugar and raw honey. I have some sugar-free syrups I use for shave ice in the summer, but that doesnt' even happen once a week. [once the ones I have are gone I won't replace them either]

    Real Fat in Moderation, not Fat-Free or Fake Fat! At the time I just used butter and olive oil, now I would say add macadamia nut oil, rice bran oil, and coconut oil. All very good for different reasons.

    I added in Organs in Place/Half Frogs from the website-this move is deceptively simple but very power-full! [yes I meant to spell it that way!] If you don't believe me measure waist and lower abs before and after doing it. Do it twice a day-after all, you can do it lying down! You have nothing to lose but your belly fat and back ache.

    I didn't have them at first but definitely for anyone new reading this-when you order your workout [doesn't matter which one] order at least one bottle of the Premium Blend Alfalfa and take at least 4 a day [you can take more, but 4 is the minimum I have used and still felt results]. Among the many wonderful things it does it will help get rid of the excess fluid. If you aren't already taking a good multivitamin [pharmaceutical grade, not a generic] start taking one.     Hi Annie and Davette!

    I am doing pretty well....got a swift kick in the butt from a good friend about my weight. i really needed it because i had this 'don't care' attitude about my weight which isn't good because i have high BP and more than 100 pounds to lose. So, I started back up my exercise program tonight and will use calorie counting as a guideline. If I go over my calories, it will be without guilt or shame. I am to the point where i just have to do something, you know? I feel better about myself today and will continue on this path until something better comes along.....
