    Default Alfalfa (again)

    Fellow T-Tappers,

I finally got the benefit of alfalfa after not being able to consume it for almost one year! Every time I swallowed the pills, my stomach got gassy and so uncomfortable the whole day. Now, with cutting back junk foods, eating more salads and one acidophilus/bifidus pill every morning, I can eat 4 alfalfa pills per day. My skin has become amazingly smooth especially in the hip area. I have one question though: I thought 2 pills twice per day is not enough so I popped 3 pills but immediately got pimples. Do you guys think 4 pills per day is OK enough?

    Thanks!

If 4 pills a day works for you, then cool beans. 'Tis not enough for me, but then again, I have issues. LOL But if that works for you, then I say good deal.

Question though. If taking 2 at a time works for you, why not 2 at a time, more often?

Say 2 at breakfast, lunch, and dinner..that would give you 6 a day. Or have you tried that and it doesn't work?

Two full days after I eat kidney beans I get a rashy bumpy face.... Have you considered a delayed onset allergic response to something in your diet???? Maybe it's not the alfalfa but something to think about....

    Thanks for the response!
I can't eat the alfalfa pills in the morning or with empty stomach. By the way, I got breakout in my face right after getting 3 pills - maybe about 1 or 2 hours after. Have never got any allergies to food, so this is new to me.

    Anyways, alfalfa rocks!

Can I share your post and ask an alfalfa question too? I'm on birth control pills for my endo. and so far it has worked great. Maybe a 3lb weight gain, but not a big deal. Anyhow, I had one bottle of alfalfa that I got for half price and used it till the bottle was gone, and have not reordered because I didn't think I saw any kind of difference and hated the way my burps tasted. Anyhow, not that i'm off of it, I am breaking out super bad, and feel very PMSie even though it's not that TOTM. Is this maybe from not having the alfalfa now?

Dian76, I never knew I had any allergies either! I just kept on eating bananas like there was no tomorrow! They worked great to get my low blood sugar up. Then I found out I was allergic to them along with several others foods.... Not sure what my reactions were to bananas and other foods because I don't react for 2 days so it's hard to pinpoint these things. But I *can* now relate the bumpy face to kidney beans!

As for alfala preventing PMSy feelings, O, yah! Clear skin, O yah! Anti-inflamatory at it's best!!! Get yee some more alfalfa and see if it doesn't make a difference. I think we most offen don't see a difference with new products until we quit using them

    Ann,
I had the same experience with alfalfa but found when I upped the dosage I had more obvious results. Especially helps my breakouts and now I can start my TOM and it is a total surprise. No PMS or cramping in advance.
