skin brushing...face brushing question...
I do the dry skin (body) brushing and love it! Does anyone remember a while back (like way back) Teresa mentioned it was okay to brush the face and use the little face brush a certain way...or did I imagine the whole thing?! I thought that at first Teresa thought it best to not brush the face but was then inundated w/lots of questions about face brushing and she said if you're going to do it, do it like so....
Anyone remember? Thank you for your help.

I keep this in my ttapp file. This was in a post a while back. The info was said to come from Lauren at the ttapp office:
First of all, you should use a plant fiber face brush. Lauren said that they are available at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Below is the face brushing sequence:
You brush up on the neck and then on the face, you brush up and out:
Jawline - brush out in circular motions towards ear.
Cheekbones - brush out in circular motions towards ear.
Forehead - start in middle of forehead and brush out on each side towards temple.
Nose - small circular movements over the nose.
Under eyes - tiny, light circular motions from outer eye in towards the nose (NOT out towards ear).

I also keep an older, softer body brush that I've cleaned and use exclusively for my face. I use the smaller natural bristled brush for the areas closer to my eyes and nose, but the regular brush works well for neck, cheeks and forhead area.

I also use the full size brush on may face, but I angle it so just the edge of the brush touches my skin. To me, it's easier to keep up the momentum if I don't have to stop and change brushes.

While I know it's not natural fibers- I really like the sonicare skin brush. I got it as a Christmas present and I really love it! It uses sonic waves to loosen dead skin and cleans away impurities.
Just thought I'd pass it along!

I first heard of skin brushing from Dr Bernard Jensen's book and from another lady author. See http://www.bernardjensen.org/item.jh...2&PRID=1535765.
The brush included in the CRT is almost the same as the one from Jensen. He has a smaller brush for the face. Also, either from him or the lady author (forgot the name and may have lost the book), brush towards the heart which I think Teresa demonstrates. For the face, I do as was posted earlier.

I know there was another link for plant fiber face brushes, but I can't seem to find it...I'll keep looking.

fromnaturewithlove.com has natural bristle brushes very inexpensive. They aslo have a beautiful catalog with lots of recipes for lotions, scrubs, massage oils..... It's also a dictionary of oils, good stuff!
