    Default Question for Trainers

I'm wondering how long it took you to become a trainer.

I feel so alone and far away from everything and I was lucky to meet Manon here in Canada once but I really think Toronto needs a trainer and of course...I thought I'd love to do it. I've already got 4 people doing t-tapp and I've only been doing this for 5 months...Imagine all the people I could convert

    However...now I don't think I can do it without a scholarship to T-tapp University...hahaha.

So that got me wondering if you paced yourselves and took a while to finally become a trainer or if you jumped right in and did it in a few months.

I'm actually sitting here with tears in my eyes because I really want this but now it just seems like a hopeless dream.

I'd love to hear about your journey.

    Thanks Tina

I did all that already and that's why I'm feeling overwhelmed. I got the details and I'm not sure I can do it any time soon.

    Moon-

There's always room on the T-Tapp Team for another good trainer. As to how long it takes - that varies by person. I took the slow route. I was Tapping for about a year and a half before I got up the guts to ask Teresa to accept me. I had no fitness background and figured there was little chance of it happening - boy, was I dead wrong. I got my personal trainer certification about three months after that and was certified by Teresa in May of 2003. Total time from talking to Teresa and getting certified: 10-11 months.

At present there is no minimum or maximum amount of time to complete certification once you've been accepted as a TnT (Trainer in Training). The pace is up to you.

    Moon -

I agree w/ Kirsten - - there is always room for more T-Tapp trainers to join our family . I took a year and a half to certify with Teresa and complete my credentials. I'm glad that I took a long time to complete my "training" but that's what worked for me and my life. I was grateful that I could go at my own pace. Some people do it faster than others and a lot of this depends on your goals and what you want to do w/ T-Tapp!

Editing to add that I had tapped on and off for 2 years before I thought of becoming a trainer.

YOU can DO IT if it's what you want!!! Best of luck to you!

Moon, you definitely can do it! You go for it girl!!!! Of course, I don't have a clue what was included in the pkg. you got, but I know you are one determined lady and I believe you can do it. After you are certified will you come visit me in Fairfax, VA and give me a personal lesson for believing in you?

    GO FOR IT!!!!

    Love, Jean

    Moon -
I took the fast route. I started Tapping in August, 2005 (after hearing about T-Tapp for years from my mom) and certifed in January, 2006. However, I DO have a fitness background and have been a certified personal trainer since 1992 (w/a Masters degree in Physical Education/Fitness Management). I train people for a living.

If you have any other questions, Lauren is great at answering them.

Hi there moon! Congrats on your TnT status! I had Tapped on and off for 2 1/2 years before asking to become a trainer, then I was certified in 10 months. Yes it is worth it, yes it does seem overwhelming, but you can do it *Yes You Can*! The Mentor/Mento program is in place, take advantage of it!

definitely talk to lauren. do you have a background in fitness? start studying muscles and bones. decide on taking the ace, ifpa or if there is something different in canada. go back and read all of the newsletter archives. keep tapping.

you are right canada needs more trainers. stay in touch with manon and all of us.
