Question for Trainers
I have total disk degeneration of my spine, a herniated disk in the L4-L5 area, and fragmented cartiledge in both knees (left knee worse than right). I am under chiropractic care for the herniated disk. With this information - here is my situation and question:
I have tried numerous times to do T-Tapp but end up with a very sore lower back. I read these boards, follow the advice, have taken classes, use a mirror, etc. But after Tapping for a while, my back hurts.
I showed my chiropractor the Tapp stance and he believes with the problems I have in my back that the facets are being strained with this stance. He feels my facets are inflammed and this stance aggravates the inflammation. The pain happens when I really squeeze my buttock.
So now for the question, can I get the benefits of Tapp by concentrating on the form without squeezing my butt?
Thanks for your feedback.

Do you have the Sit Down workout by any chance? See if your doctor would approve your working with that.
As your doctor has seen T-Tapp, I'd listen to his advice and take the time necessary to let yourself heal. When your doctor feels you are ready, you may want to think about T-Tapp MORE.
Editing to also suggest calling the T-Tapp office tomorrow.
