Hello All!
Thank you all for your support and being here for me
.
I'm doing pretty good actually! My dr appt went well and he's still willing to work with me... yay! Now to find a doula [
]. I've got the name of 3 who have worked with twins and are pro-vbac. I already know one of them, so I'm waiting to hear from her first; then I'll contact the other two.
My next u/s is on Wednesday, so keep your fingers crossed that baby A has continued to grow and both their fluid levels are good. One thing I have learned thru all this is to keep track of my records... it's interesting to remember what the high risk ob told me vs what she wrote up in her report... with me she played up the low fluid on Baby A but in the report to my regular ob she emphasized the high fluid in Baby B and downplayed the low fluid. Interesting, huh? Can't wait to read the next one.
Oh, I'm now 35 weeks. I lost my mucous plug, I'm 1 cm dilated, and I was having Braxton-Hicks "plus" contractions every 9 minutes yesterday. So, my body is definitly getting ready to do it's thing [
]. Just a matter of waiting for it to really get going!
CherCher, Ginger - I missed SH too!! So wish I could have gone, especially considering how freaken close I live to it (2 hours)!! CherCher, I'll see what I can do about January
Esther - we very well could have the babies at the same time! You take care, keep 'em cooking
Jeni - thanks! hey, where in NC are you?
Everyone else - HUGS!!!
Ok, DH needs the computer back... he's been able to work from home 2 days a week to "keep an eye on me" [
]
Happy T-Tapping!

Hi Marilyn!!!
That's certainly an interesting discrepancy the OB had from spoken word to written report. Hum.
I'm all for doulas (two of my sisters are doulas, only one is active, though), so hope your selection goes well.
I'm excited for you!! Keep us posted, and keep comfy. You're progressing already. Wowza!
BIG HUGS!!!

You're just jealous because the voices aren't talking to *you*!

Keeping my fingers crossed for a successful VBAC!

Marilyn,
I am so glad to hear that you have made it this far. It seems like most of the time people who are carrying multiple babies never get to 35 weeks. That is so great!!
I can't wait to hear how everything goes.

Hi!!
I have very little time, but I wanted to share the news!!
Born via twin VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section)
November 4, 2005
2:05 am
Natalie - 5 lbs 1 oz and 17.75 inches
2:36 am
Alexia - 5 lbs 9 oz and 19.5 inches
I made it 36 weeks... we opted to get labor going due to baby "a" (Natalie) looking small in u/s - projected 9% in weight. I got my membrane swept and 9 hours later my waters broken (I was in early labor and 4-5 cm dilated).
Both babies have ZERO preterm complications. But both are in the hospital due to cleft palates and feeding problems... nothing physical therapy won't fix (plus surgery later for the cleft palates).
They are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!
Oh, and t-tapp and pushing. They kept telling me to push... but I knew I wasn't doing it "right", just felt off. So I kept repeating "t-tapp push, t-tapp push" in my head to help me concentrate on what I was trying to accomplish, picturing where the babies were and therefore what muscles I needed to use... AND IT WORKED!! My pushes stopped being sloppy and really did their thing! Man, I love t-tapp! [
]
Love, hugs, and happy t-tapping,
Marilyn
